My first Kris (& Rita) gig was in Grove City College in 1972-73 on the far west side of PA. We drove out 8 hours, paid 50 cents for each ticket, and drove 8 hours back afterward. All I remember about it were his leather pants and the Pennsy roads - that were very dark and narrow & full of oncoming tractor trailors. - Worth every minute!!! LOL

Thank you Dan for a very nice article - although about this comment...

"and (Kristofferson) graciously allowing multiple hugs from a pair of female fans who had been in love with him, they declared, for 35 years. They looked it. He didn’t."

Im grateful to say that you all know I don't do the "wait at the back door thing" and this was not me (or Viv) he was referring too!! -- Besides what I felt for Kris for the last 35+ years has very little to do with "love".

Had the pleasure of being the bottom half of the 2 man sound crew for John Flynn last night at our weekly venue. Good to see Dan and Judy there as well as meeting Judy's sister Nancy.
If you get the chance, don't miss John Flynn if he's playing your area.
Great writer and performer.Great wit, great humor and very deep in spirit all in one package.

John keeps getting better and better all the time, and I thought he was great to begin with! It was a wonderful show at a great venue!

Just wondering, Larry, how did it feel to be the "bottom half" instead of the "front half"?

Yes, do--unless you don't like folksingers/songwriter hunks who are talented, smart, funny, friendly, etc., etc. (sound familiar?)

Hey Everyone.
The movie you are referring to with Peter Boyle, was it the move called "Joe"?
I remember seeing that when I was a young teen. I didn't know KK was in it. I didn't know about him at that age.
Joe and a friend were looking for his runaway daughter, they were very anti-hippie and really rough around the edges.
It is time I had another whatch, it's gotta be forty odd yrs old.
Thanks for reminding me.
