I kinda like the fact that Arlo is a registered republican and seemed to think about George W. Bush and Dick Cheney they way most of the rest of us here did. As misguided failures at best, and as evil war mongers at worst. It means we got somebody on the inside of what Bill Maher calls "The Bubble".:) Correct me if I'm wrong adg.

My other half is a staunch republican (I say really she thinks like a Libertarian) but she voted for Obama. I've always been of the understanding it's a "Democratic Republic" anyway...

i just like to sit in the garden at dusk and play my guitar...dusk seems to last forever this time of year

what people are thinking and doing around just seems to be a side show

got the nice neighbor with the beautiful yard who makes me think i should get up off my lazy butt and do some weeding (i avoid getting up cause that will just lead me to another beer and I got to limit the intake, you know...this time of year just makes the beer disappear)

got the neighbor across from me that has a power tool for every job (i mean every job)

then there is the neighbor over the "hedgerow" who I see occasionally peering through the window and we wave cordially

it is a nice place to watch the sun go down or even come up on occasion

that is about as far as my brain can muster

I think one of the greatest lines of bull shit in this century is:

"I vote Republican but I am really a Libertarian"

The people grew fat and got lazy.
Now their vote is a meaningless joke.
They babble about law and about order,
But it's all just an echo of what they've been told.

There's a monster on the loose.
It's got our heads into the noose.
And it sits there watching.

Steppenwolf - Monster

The only party that represents every one of your views at 100% has only one member.

Actually, with 7,000,000,000 people on the planet, it is likely there are 1000 like minds for everyone.
