OK, for those of you who are in the Englewood posting, I FOUND MY MORRISTOWN TAPE!!!!

As it says on the RTR, fair quality audience recording. But if you think about it, FAIR, nowaddays is still pretty good. I remember buying bootlegs in the 80s at record shows which were barely listenable.

Ill start off with the problems on this one.

Its incomplete. I dont remember which songs got cut out. The problem....the tape in the cassette somehow flipped over at the end of recording side one. so side two didnt record at all. So the middle is missing. (same recorder as the Englewood show, I should have known.)

I was AGAIN sitting in the back under the balcony, but this time I was stuck on the side and not in the middle.

This was my first REAL attempt to record something good so I was a little nervous. I kept the mic down. (I once smuggled a mini tape recorder into a KISS concert back in 92........IN MY SHOE) Halfway thru the concert I dropped it and it went down two rows. Plus, the schmo next to me thought he could sing like Paul Stanley. I still have the tape, every now and then I listen to it. I also have crappy Def Leppard and crappy Van Halen.

Someone in the place had a squeeeeeeky chair. There is this insessant LOUD squeek periodically throughout the tape.

So here is the list of what I got.

CHILLING OF THE EVENING
MY FRONT PAGES
RING AROUND ROSIE
PERCY'S SONG
1913 MASSACRE
MOOSES COME WALKING
ME AND MY GOOSE
HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN
CITY OF NEW ORLEANS (cut off beginning - tape change)
DOORS OF HEAVEN
GARDEN SONG
THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND
SLOW ALICE
GOODNIGHT IRENE

Its a little under 90 minutes so I split it up into 2 cds.

Anyone?

The missing songs were ORPHAN,SAILING and REUBEN. Possible PAUSE and TELEPHONE also. I cant say how much ARLO SPEAK was lost.

Again I messed up Sarahs part, and she has such a great voice!

It sucks too because it was her first ever performance in NJ.

Im so ashamed. A piece of Guthrie history ruined.

Someone punish me.
