What, exactly, is the role of Islam in the current
world situation? Join Neal Conan for part one of
a two-part series on Islam, on Wednesday's Talk
of the Nation.

Join the show in its second hour for a live
performance and chat with Arlo Guthrie.

The audio for this program will be available online
after 6PM ET, 3PM PT.

Tapes/Transcripts of National Public Radio's Talk of the Nation can be ordered by contacting NPR.

Thanks again, Janet!
Yet another fine radio interview with our fearless leader!
He did an awesome job of playing City Of New Orleans on his guitar.
Is there anything that guy can't play on guitar?
He is amazing! .... The Django Reinhardt of hippie folkslingers!

I think the ONLY thing on the "what Arlo can't play on his guitar" list is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major KV 219". However, after he reads this and remembers that he can't play it, and since he will be hanging out with those Symphony guys next week, I 'll bet he learns it before years end.

May I just interject and say:

I listened to the radio program featuring Arlo.
I absolutely loved it. It really gave an essence of who he is, and why he does what he does. I hope every gets the chance to hear it. I can't say enough how great it was. Unbelievable.
Thanks, Arlo! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

The interview is not on Fresh Air. It was on the Marilyn Cooley show on WETA for about 5 or 10 minutes.

I'm sure Mary Cliff will include Arlo in her 'Traditions' show on Saturday (9PM - 1 AM) since she always gives info on who is playing in town over the next week or so. Maybe she will have the Arlo interview on her show too.

ALICE will be on the radio twice today here in VA:

In the Richmond area classic rock station FM 96.5 The Planet will be playing it at Noon & 6pm.

XL102 FM usually plays it at Noon which I discovered one yr when flipping dials to see whats on. I listen to XL102 only when they play ALICE cuz the rest of the yr they play that loud hard rock junk of today instead of the good old 60's & 70's stuff.

106.9 FM in Norfolk plays it at noon usually.

So I will do my usual having 3 radios on 3 different channels at noon to hear our guy! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

You can get anything you want... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>
