WEIRD NJ magazine has an article this month about BOB DYLAN and WOODY and photos from the infamous EAST ORANGE apartment where the EAST ORANGE TAPE was made. Very interesting.

Also about how Bob 'stole' blowing in the wind from a high school chorus. Than the response from the chorus saying they actually stole it from a SING OUT magazine that Bob was in.

GUTHRIES in WEIRD NJ TWICE!!! Im searching for my old issue with Greystone in it. Neat pics of the family on the grounds.

Decided to post this under "Related Artists" because it seems to fit.
The Boston Globe today June 5, 2005 has an article written by Scott Alarik titled, " The Guthries: Like father, like daughter, like son-in-law."
The article includes some interesting comments by Arlo (are there any other kind) about his views on "Alices" and about Sarah Lee Guthrie and her husband Johnny Irion. The newsprint version includes a large color photo of Sarah Lee and Johnny.

The link to the article is:

Irion acknowledges that some of Arlo's fans have certain expectations from Sarah Lee as she moves forward in her music career. And when the interviewer suggests that Arlo occasionally attracts some rather bizarre admirers, she just laughs.

"You're telling me!" she says. "Yeah, weird people. But he's kind of strange himself, you know. He's a weird dude. We're all weird. It's actually a compliment when people say we're weird."

Proud to be weird!!!!!!

Folk legend Arlo Guthrie had a suggestion for his daughter shortly before she left his Massachusetts home on Sunday morning...
