The first night of this scheduled 2 night show on the Lost World Tour was awesome!! As all of his previous appearances here have been. :D But not good for Arlo since he became ill and canceled the second show in Virginia and 2 follow ons in North and South Carolina!!

During his last songs, Arlo started losing his voice but he carried on through to the end of the show like the showman he is, joking that he was sounding like Louie Armstrong, but that "it worked for him" [Louie]. I was a little embarrassed when my local friends gave him such a resounding standing ovation which begged for an encore - we could have been more understanding, thought more of him and his voice and let him rest - so Arlo came back for a great encore. He then left the theater directly, and we found out later that he had canceled the second night and the N & S Carolina shows. He will return to Phoebus, Virginia in May we are told.

We look forward with great anticipation to his return.

Welcome to the site! Thanks for the great show review. We look forward to the May show. He could've canceled the first nties show & rre-schedules and we would've understood. Just want him to be feeling better. He is welcome in VA anytime. :)
