cliff, if only i knew what i was doing!

the thing about trains and light switches has me thinking of a train trip i took, not too long ago...i'm not sure when exactly...there is a chunk of time (within the 10 years just passed) that is like a picture taken at a shutter speed that is way to slow to accomodate...anyway, what i remember is being in my seat, and as the train took off the morning sun shone bright through the window interrupted by trees or posts or something going by, giving a strobe light effect, keeping with the pace of the train as it went faster (flash! flash! flash!), and it was.....it wasn't long after that i discovered salmagundi!
i remember her asking, "is dessert spelled with one "S" or two?"

I don't know the rule for spelling dessert, but with camel, if it's a camel with one hump, it's "camel", if it's a camel with two humps, it's "cammel"..........I think.

Actually, it may be that a one hump camel is spelled " canel" and the two hump camel is spelled "camel", since the letter "n" has one hump and the letter "m" has two. Spelling was never my strong suit. I think two humping camels is spelled "LimbaughRove", but that's another subject alltogether......

strange as it may seem...the first i ever heard that song (wild mountain thyme) was by a group called tinsmith.

Here it is pronounced like paaahhhhsty sort of like in the Pa in Padre or in Grandpa. My favourite is Vegetarian or Spinach and Fetta Pasty. But Cornish is nice too. Yeah i get in trouble for TomAto instead of Tomaaaato and GrASS instead of Graaaaass. But I sound like an Aussie overall.

Where I come from it's pronounced passtee. We just have an interesting accent up here.
