Dinner for breakfast, breakfast for dinner...they're all good! My kids loved having scrambled eggs and pancakes or waffles for dinner when they were small and their dad was on travel for work.

Anyone like leftover spaghetti or pizza for breakfast?

Jim is kind of partial to leftover pot roast for breakfast.

I never knew that on Peta. Thanks for the info Sue. How they can kill animals when they are always hollering about animal rights, I'll never know...

I suppose if Bush and Cheny can send people to die in an immoral war and then preach morals and religion, PITA can do it too. BUT, after they kill what they kill, they do always say " Bless their hearts".......so I think that makes it ok..........to them. :?

Yeah, we've got the Amphora...all night eatery with everything from 24-hour breakfast to Greek dishes, sandwiches and typical diner fare, to fancy, fancy cakes!

As a teenager it was cold pizza for breakfast. Cuz they didn't have microwave ovens then...

Yum--leftover pizza--the Pastafarian breakfast of choice. It was the most fun as a teenager, when you could freak out your folks at breakfast. But it's still tasty.

Yeah...pizza is good.....but it sure as hell ain't meant for a microwave!

Speaking of munchies, I've been thinking about Jay and Shelly lately. We just had a place open up close to my home called "Texas Smoke". They serve smoked meats in what may be the Texas tradition. Brisket, chicken, pork, ribs and stuff.

I was the one grandchild out of eleven who asked how my grandmother made her wonderful "fried" chicken. Turns out, it's baked...and it was something they'd make when lots of people were arriving (like for family reunions!) at different times, and all were going to be hungry when they arrived. It's wonderful, and it holds for a loooong time. My kids frequently request it! It's also not in ANY cookbook...I've looked!

I ended up with several of her verbal recipes...good thing I have a good memory!

I also got her pie crust recipe..it's unusual. And equally great! It's a fun recipe...it calls for things like "a half-eggshell of water" as a measuring device.

Reminds me of "Shake and Bake......and I helped!" This has been a delicious thread but, is anyone else gaining weight?
