You cant light your lamp for me now ...the path is dark...I cant see the glow form it ... If hope could grant just one thing to me ...My heart once more could be warmed by words from you....empty every word is now ...if you eaven try...hurry now, flaunt your youth, before you grow old and die...you never knew the alone part of me, yesterday can never come ..tomorrow is a passing mist ....before the mid day sun...

If you care to count every rain drop that falls,..I will never try and stop you,..
and maby you can do every little thing
..like its all been done a million times before..
I would rather just live my life and not eaven bother keeping score...
If a new day ever gets here ...
some how i know its bound to happen..
and when i take myself to my grave ..
dont tell me of money they made..
high standing pillers of the community..
the pritty people who smile because everyone knows there so cute ..
just listen to me in my five dollar suit..
Im only gonna go where my path is folding open ,..
opening before another day is done

See them keys right there on the table ,..
He said "they are the keys to death and hell",then a mystery begun...
Talk of things to come,. every thing is past now,
before anything is overcome...

If you got an ear, better listen real clear,.
were busting out of this jail , when the morning breaks for day

The hour is drawing ever near...
as your casting away every fear ..
the pillers are shaking ..
the dawn is breakin..

The scrools have been rooling opened,.
every foundation ripped apart..
we can do it again ..from begining to end
its lighter traveling when you have nothing to lose...

# # # # # Forever Young # # # # #

May God Blessed keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
And may you stay, forever young

May you grow up to be rightious
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the light surrounding you
May you always be couragous
Stand upright and be strong
And may your stay, forever young

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of change they shift
May your heart always be joyfull
May your song always be sung
And may you stay, forever young

May you stay, forever young..

Robin Lynn Terrance's favorite Dylan tune...

***hear Janis laughin in background..ha-ha-ha

in a daze the bugle roard
12 angry men fronted the guns
the salute was in vein
they let the battle cry

after the noise and the smoke
people hurt, and dying
someone gasping, no my children
I'm not there, I cant' bear they're crying

That didn't stop that, that vengefull day
and the war it isn't over, least in the
mind, of the child, death it smelled like clover

1957 the days are rolling thunder
wondering what the cars are on
that make it feel your under

Under the wind, of a ride in the night
Under the wind, and it's edging on fright
riding the sins of a entangled life
Hoping you never forget her

I was there when yu didn't listen
And I'm now just making my way
You were so very determined
to Map it out, and do things your way

Under the wind, of a ride in the night
Under the wind and it's edging on fright
Riding the sins of an entangled life
Here's hoping you never forget her

words/Rb

* 6 * 6 * 6*. . aka sx.sx.sx.

the morning awakes, sounds engulph me.
No,it was my dream I so desperately want
to return to, if only a minute. Let me bask in the lunar of these thoughts. Things were perfect. You were there. the sunlight lifting off your shoulders. Caring less in the illusion of your beauty, lusting more-so in the sweat taste of your soul. Grasping Reality's concept of turning two bodys into one, I daze off into the morning...Thinking to myself, "I can't sleep my life away".

Can you tell me what`s left
was there a past time when those
burnt ashes made someone warm

there must have been a fire there
it all could not be in my mind

I have eyes and have seen ,
now I stand here , and feel
alone again

the wind blows into my spirt and
my self is fading away

how could it happen , tell me why
was there ever love ..tell me why

the road is open , today just wakling along
the road is crying sing me a song

some folks just wanted to change the world..
some wanted to have fun ..others just a place in the sun

they will rise up again ..only better this time my friend ..its never THE END

When the page flips open
see the years gone by...
a spoon full of words
one candle next to the sun
it`s way to tell you
walking a fine line
drinking an old wine
it was a time
when generations were ripped apart
given a new start

When in a time before
there were some,. just wars..
madmen trying to conquer the planet
and it looked like God had dambed it
the great generation they were
can here there words "my country right or wrong..
it was to them ,.a justfeyed song

then one day , when goverments forgot
and they made wars ,and there children just smoked pot
body bags were just a matter of fact
maby its ment to be like this some would
say ..and the MASTERS OF WAR HAD A HOLIDAY

So here is what I have to say to
my generation ...we really did change the world
when goverments try to send bodybags today
its all over the news . eaven 40 or 50
is too many ..eaven one is too..
back then 200 to 400 a week
If you were not there
you may have a hard time with this
like my generation had a hard time ...
beleaving there was a great depression ...
then a world war...
see it was us hippys and the music
in our heads that said .lets have peace ..and forget wars
THERE HAS NEVER BEEN SUCH A LARGE GENERATION GAP ...EVER

Our brothers and sisters became those
who shared our cause ..

then after that the day had come..
we all grew up ..and our cause had been won
eaven the Berlin wall came toumbling down
A new era had begun ..we and our fathers before, closed the long cold gap ..

now what we have today is colored
with a differnt shade ..every man for himself ..seeking just temprol money and welth..

Could just have been the joys of youth
cant really say with mathematical proof..

look around ,. you may see
some of the new generation ..they still listen to our music ..did we listen to Sinatra ..hell no ..got ya

all we are saying is give peace a chance
but i can only type words ..cant rewind back to Berkley in the late 60`s

oh yes just one more little fact ..
remember the masters of war
they would still be making wars, with the help of the political cowards for a profit if we let them ..but they know one thing ..
they know we are still there and they,
know we can see right into there minds..
so dont kick the hippys to hard ..

like at woodstock ..an old tune in my head
keeps on playing ..playing till im dead ..

and it`s 1..2...3..what are we fighting for
dont know don`t give a DAMB..NEXT STOP IS BLUNDERLAND

In the stillness of the night time
a rainbow came to view
with colors of the spectrum
set upside down in view
it was a gift of beauity
quite an impossible sight
looking at a rainbow
in the darkness of the night

over at the chess bord
godzilla was playing betty boop
the match was kinda close
a night rainbow is the proof
the white knight stole the kings crown
I got better things to do today
play your little game if you must
then he ran away

All of the kings horses
and half the kings men
in the twinkling of an eye
the white knight stood before them
trying hard to blend in with them
they wernt buying it on pay day
lets ride off to our destiney
before the night rainbow goes away

from the peak of Everest
and the dead sea before you
and every point in between
the rain turned the color blue
eagels were a nesting
music alive in there flight
thinking what has come to pass
from a rainbow the stars cast
forth one knight

I dident really know you , just words inside my head ..
some place between here and there , the old man shook his head...
I dont care if you know it , I did my best now Im thrugh...
sawdust on the face of the earth,
a dog wood cant be true

In by gone university pay the price , lern to think..
cookie cutter ideas in a bathroom sink...
grab everything you can get now, sort them out a little more..
what is over looked ..
saw dust at on your floor

All the worlds a stage
can others play there to...
I seen a splash of springtime
in a full moon turning blue
if it dont seem to funny ,
the warrenty tag said ..
take a little sawdust ..
sprinkle on your head

Days turn to darkness ..
nights turn to days..
demanding what I Am alone
to a twilight shallow haze ..
fear takes another thought
set inside your head..
an oak is only sawdust
when an oak is cut and dead....

every cut of lumber , A carpenter must make..
working on a master peace, called a human place
Its time Im walking
I am walking out this door ...
there has to be some sawdust
feet kick around once more....

Can't believe this thread is still turning. Thanks Joe (ect) for keeping it alive. I haven't read it in a long time (I make it a habit to never save anything - so it's great this is here)!!!

*Everything I wrote is original, other than the obvious....But I stole the 'Strange Fruit' from an episode off 'Touched by an Angel'. An episode in which blues singer 'Billy Holiday' sing's a racially overtoned song, to an audience in severe denial.... The lyrics to that song, still grab me today...they make me wonder, why (or better yet (HOW) could a person hate another, for skin color alone?

*Ballad of Mad Dogs and Englishmen*

Kids planes and runway strikes
Flashy pins and family fights
Spotted dogs and bloodshot eyes
Ah, space captain laughs and tries

To understand the scheme of things
And just in time the scene has changed
The bus is here, bring the beer
Shermans reading changed me

Movie makers boobie shakers
And saxi airplane T.V. takers
