when the tongue or the pen is let loose in a phrenzy of passion, it is the man, and not the subject, that gets exhausted.

http://www.christianschou.dk/music/jackbonu.htm

more tidbits from the past anyone remember this one i have not played it in years, the earth opera one either, i was surprised to learn earth opera was considered a Boston band, I didn't know that, i always considered Grisman and Rowan California (well Rowan sometimes Texas) fellows

the earth Opera here and the Jack Bonus have some weird Jazz moments

Have any of you guys heard that Ornette Coleman called Virgin Beauty?

Jerry Garcia played guitar on three tracks from Coleman's Virgin Beauty (1988) - "Three Wishes", "Singing In The Shower", and "Desert Players". Twice in 1993, Coleman joined the Grateful Dead on stage playing the band's "The Other One", "Wharf Rat", "Stella Blue", and covering Bobby Bland's "Turn On Your Lovelight" among others. Another unexpected association was with guitarist Pat Metheny, with whom Coleman recorded Song X (1985); though released under Metheny's name Coleman was essentially co-leader (contributing all the compositions).

That Song X is wild also.

Did anyone see the Joni Mitchel shows with Metheny and Pastorius in the BAnd, that was awesome and the Persuasions along for the ride.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Agnes! (I collect more than compose, tho...)

Hmmm, 1928. I think that was Pete's uke stage.

brings to mind the time, at the Church, when Arlo pulled out a uke and rocked "All Along the Watchtower"...

That was FUN!

Thanks for pointing out who Jimminy Cricket was!

What did you come up with? I only have the freebie partial cuts of samples of cds to guess from.

Code:
D     A     G     D
Love, love, love, love,
A                  D
What did you do to me?
A
The things I never missed
D
Are things I can't resist.

...

D
She's got eyes of blue,

I never cared for eyes of blue,
    A
But she's got eyes of blue,
G             A        D
And that's my weakness now!

He jumps around pretty quick so there's more to it than this. Maybe looking in a 20's anthology at a music store would show if it would be worth getting the book.

Oops, that was with a guitar. I don't know what chords are normal on a ukelele. Sorta like if I was trying for banjo, I'd do it C G F C and so on.
