Peace to Harold Leventhal and to his family, including Arlo and other Guthries. The world is far richer because this man was among us.

Wow...what sad news, was just listening to a recording of Billy Bragg at Symphony Space in NYC performing the songs of Woody Guthrie and he's talking about Harold...Saw Arlo's Carnegie Hall show two years ago honoring Harold...of course, Pete Seeger/Weavers and Harold...
RIP

Rest well, Harold Leventhal. The world is a poorer place without you. You leave a beautiful and lasting legacy in the music that you helped bring to the world. Thank you!

...this last week or two seemed like i saw Harold Leventhal's face on the television screen in the many music programs that are showing up on PBS these days.....
.....his part, both what he did and what he felt, about the music that brings us all to this place .... and to so many who love it so ... this music of our history .... seemed so much a part of what happened and so much a part of his heart....
....may the Guthrie family..the whole family, be comforted in your personal loss....

Harold's passing will leave a big empty space in this world and in our hearts. Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone!

Rest in peace Harold. You are one of those guys Arlo talks about in a story who kinda said" They went that way".

I was so sorry to hear about Harold. I didn't know him except to say hi to, once a year at Carnegie, but he was the kind of person who always made me happy and brought a smile to my face, just by being there. Maybe it was because of all the wonderful musicians he brought to the world. Maybe it was because he was so cute, in a grandfatherly sort of way. Maybe it was because he was someone who was dearly loved by people I dearly love. Maybe it was because he was one of those special people that Arlo talks about--someone who genuinely cared. I have a strong feeling, though, that it was because of all those things, and more.
Rest in peace, Harold, and thanks for everything.

We are shocked and saddened by this loss.
Mr. Leventhal (sorry for the formality that he earned, but never wanted) will rest - as he lived - in peace.
A man of natural great integrity and dedication to purpose and detail, he is someone who will be missed more - rather than less - as the time passes.

Peace to you Harold. Thank you so much for your myriad contributions to "our music" and "our people". Thank you so much for always talking a moment to listen and give your sage advice.
You were a true gentleman, and one of the not-so-common people in the music business that ALWAYS impressed me with your love & appreciation of the the music and it's artists,...not just the business end of it all.
I can still see your eyes smiling as I write this....that smile will always be a warm glow in my heart.

So sorry to hear about him. I never met him but he was a real folk legend. So many artists he knew. He was a part of folk history. So sorry to hear about him. Maybe God be with the family at this time & Arlo too...

I just want to say thanks to everyone who has written such nice things about my uncle, Harold Leventhal. It feels so good to know that he touched so many lives. He was not only an icon in the music industry, but a great family man.
