I always love playing Eight Miles High, it is one of those songs the chords just fit together so naturally that it just begs for all kind of variations within that raga like / trance inducing ryddem. I can truly annoy the hell out of those around me for long periods of time either with an acoustic or an electric guitar and not tire at all myself! It is also funny you picked it for that Roger solo on the 12 string that is definetly not in the Chuck Berry based style that was so prminent in Rock bands in 65. I saw Roger in a little bitty ittty place once called the Prairie Lady (great place) and he said John Coltrane was the inspiration for his space sounds on this song that of course brings me back to the whole reason I have pulled out a bunch of jazz music (the passing of Alice Coltrane) and it relates to the passing of Sneaky Pete as when I saw him at the Zoo in OKC it was as a member of a bunch of lost "old" musicians labeled the Byrd/Burrito Caravan that included the Clarks (both Michael and Gene) just prior to their passing. How that relates to the title of One All Knowin' I hazard to guess because as its been well established around here that I myself...well..ere!!! At least when it comes to mans attempts to date to approximate the One All Knowin...(and Rogers a-flat/a trill is vibrating in my head as I submit

Good to see you Agnes! I can't pretend to know it all, so I'll just say, it's been good to know you!!!

* I have a terrible habit, of wanting everything when I'm in trouble, & not really thinking of how everyone else has it.... ( I do try ).... I pray you'all don't think I don't think of you often.... Cause I do.... Often....

Piece out/Rob

Ah we're all blunderites, OK I can accept that. Just 2 questions tin multiple parts then; who is the navigator and where are we? How long have we been lost and where are we supposed to be going?

Cheers & prosit.

Oh Obama answered that with a quote from the Hogi Indians of the southwest, which the folkslinger quoted, "We are the ones we have been waiting for." The Hogi called themselves a wise peaceful people. They have been out in the southwest since about 1050.
