Anyone have any feelings on lumping the Group W Forums in with these - just under a different category?

It would make things a little easier to see "at a glance" when there are new posts.

would actually give me more access, because under the current server (or whatever) I cannot access Group-W from work, while the other forums are all available to me...

As long as there are pencils and forms to fill out, I will be there...

I was viewing the chat log from earlier and saw mention that some were dismayed over the moving of the Group W Forums.

My main reason for doing this is I want ONE central place for someone to be able to register - and then they have access to all things that require it. Currently you have to register for both forums. The new BlunderChat is using this forum's registration system... and so will the Gallery (which I need to update), and when I get a chance... I hope to add a new links section that will also use this system (to replace the outdated Blunderites In Cyberspace).

Secondary is it is IMPOSSIBLE to move topics from the ArloNet forums to the Group W forums and vice versa. Combining the two allows for easier administration and making sure posts end up where they belong. ArloNet forums are using phpBB2 software which is faster, more reliable, and easier to work with. Group W forums are currently using UBB 5 - which is old and outdated and not as feature rich.

Finally, the Group W forums weren't getting as much exposure as the main forums... I hope that incorporating them back into the main forums may bring more action to them.

These are the main reasons for the move.

However, I will do my best to listen to any concerns and address them if possible. Not just for the forums - but the site in general.

People were missing BlunderChat - well it's back, and better than ever I think... although there may be additions as people ask or as I see a need.

People missed the birthdays... they're back - although in a different form.

Basically, everything is in a state of being rebuilt, tweaked, and such. If you have a concern, miss something, or have a suggestion, I'm listening. This is YOUR site - I will do my best to give you what you want. But sometimes, change is necessary, and even good!

So, lets hear it...

I remember way back in the old days when the Group W forums were listed on the same page as the main forums... and it was so much easier, at least for me. I liked seeing everything on one page so I could see at a glance when there were new posts. I think, especially for newbies to the site, that having a forums listing on the main screen (in frames) can be a little misleading... meaning that the new folks think those are the "only" forums available. Moving Group W back to where they used to be is a great idea. Thanks Dave (oh, again... thanks for the heads up on MySpace too).

Ditto adg :D and play with the pencils hehehe .....One painful setting about the Group W Forums was a separate password and it was hard to remember. At least with all of the forums on one page one password is totally radical!.....Our lives are much easier now no more "Calgon take me away!"

I'm happy having the Bench here because I'm still on dialup so it saves me time and dollars, thanks Dave.

For the past few days, there were several posts in the new Group W forums. Can the "old" Group W forums be moved over here somehow? I'd hate to have to lose all that good stuff posted over the years.

What happened to the things that were already being posted in the new forums?

Thanks, Dave. The site's already looking better and is getting easier to navigate.

Dave it was realy cool to have moved all that stuff but I'm kind of freaked out man.

On the Arlo Net froums I'm still me, but since you've moved the Group W froums I'm not me, I'm Emily G?

I've checked a few of my post and they are still there but me ID reads:-
