Sorry. I don't have the brain cell. The Quran doesn't speak to that topic. The Hadithas do.

"The true Mahdi will fill the world with justice and equality and the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth will be pleased with him"

Been reading where the government of Iran is not allowing foreign journalists out of their hotels and that the ex-president of Iran is speaking out against the election situation. I'd imagine he may be due for a beheading soon.

I've been reading that the digital sources have been shut down as well and they've likely harvested a lot of names from the Twitter and Facebook traffic. There are Tor servers that can be set up to anonymize the senders. Because the protestors were a political organization originally, they aren't set up for sustained protests.

Harsh realities are setting in and many have gone to ground but the truth is out there now. It's a matter of time.

Tomorrow is a great time (any time is a good time) to think about how our principles of liberty were hard won and are all too easy to lose. I hope that the people of Iran and other countries--China, Korea, too many to name--can someday have a day when they celebrate their liberty from oppressors (including us).

The most powerful way we can help others achieve their own independence (from oppression) will always be by example and humanitarian support, not war. As Americans, we are beneficiaries of a great gift, and never again should we allow the likes of the last administration to squander it so thoughtlessly and wastefully.

And they took away a lot of our freedom and privacy. We have been so lucky here. I hope we can get back what the last administration has taken away.

What GW and uncles Dick and Rummy and Rove and Wolfiwitz took away in eight years will probably take longer than that to fully restore, but that's OK as long as we're moving in the right direction......and we don't want to be moving toward "where we were" before Bush, our aims should be way higher than that, like "where we could be": Imagine...... :)

I don't know Mikey. But they might be hanging guys named Chad for protesting.

But on the other hand, we here in the USA were so pissed off about Bush, that we elected a black guy with a Muslim name.Who woulda thunk it? Maybe if the Iranians are as pissed off at their guy, they might vote for a Catholic guy with an Irish name. Who knows?
