Len, that's so gallant of you; it wasn't necessary. ;-) (Arlo, you hear that? That's *my* slot. Or not -- as you wish.)

Yeah, most of the friends stuff goes on the fans page as well, but every once in a awhile there's something that doesn't -- like the recent entry on Capitalism A Love Story. So here's my say on that: Agree it's a good movie and definitely worth seeing, but I thought it lost a lot of its power when he (Moore) got sidetracked on the Jesus thing -- a "preaching to the choir" moment that just felt out of place to me. I also thought the most interesting point he made, but didn't really develop, was the idea that we don't have to just continue debating capitalism and communism/socialism, that we could have something new. I don't know what that is either, but it'd be worth talking about.

On celebrity: I've always been very reluctant to approach famous people in person, partly due to shyness and partly because I'm myself a very private person and understand it can be difficult and risky to just be that open with the world. I will do it if I think I'm doing something positive -- so, for example, after I saw Tao Rodriguez Seeger and his band perform at a very poorly-attended show last week, I walked up to both Tao and one of the other band members to say I thought it was a great show (which was true, and if I hadn't thought so, I'd've snuck out early and unseen or found something else nice to say). I doubt I would have done that if the show had been crowded, but when there are only 10-12 people at a show, including me, it feels wrong to walk away without expressing some appreciation.

On fame: Yes, it's fleeting...I guess the question with Felicia is: will she be the William Shatner of her generation, or the Leonard Nimoy? We'll see, in time.

Yeah, he came to me one nite last week, I think it was. I was in bed trying to get back to sleep & I felt a presence come into the room. At first I thought it was my mom coming in to check on me but then I realized it wouldn't be her at that time of the morning. I got scared & felt like screaming but couldn't. I realized it was Mike. You couldn't see him but it was more like he was a spirit visiting from heaven. Awhile back he came to me when I was in bed & tapped me on my shoulder twice. Weird. I sure miss him alot.

Welcome to the new folks. Arlo is a wonderful man & groovy person...

Made it to Nags Head just fine yesterday. Yesterday Sat I was sitting out on the deck watching the ocean & talking to Mike. I told him I loved him & missed him. I told him if he could hear me please send me a sign. Well it was kind cloudy cuz it was gonna rain later & had suddenly gotten gloomy even tho it was unusually warm. When I said that to Mike, immediately the skies opened up & got lighter & sun started coming out & a beautiful rainbow came out over the ocean. I just know that was Mikes answer to me & that he hears me from up in heaven & still loves me. I was so touched & felt such love. I think it was even neater than the rainbow I saw in Hawaii in the 70's.

I took some pics of it & video filmed it too to havea record of it. It eventually faded away sadly. But I know Mike made it happen.

I put one of the pics of it on the internet for everyone to see. It is here:

He is so sweet to me even in death. The pic is one of him eating pinto beans in WV. Man, I miss him so much. He is my rainbow and my guardian angel...
