I finally got to see Arlo again, after 4 years and for the second time only. And I was not alone. Cecile and I made plans to meet there and it all worked out fine. Cecile had a real long drive, about 400 miles. A very nice hotel, a very nice city and the best: Arlo in concert. It was a real nice concert in the inner court of an old castle dating back to 1220. Arlo performed with his friend Wenzel and band. A song list I didn't keep, but one of my favourites In Times Like These, My Peace, My old friend, Green Green Rocky Road, St. James Infirmary, Goodnight Irene, Last Train, Hobo's Lullaby were played. The last two where the second encore and played by Arlo alone on stage, a very nice peaceful ending of the whole show. Afterwards Arlo was signing autographs and it was the chance for Cecile and me to talk a few sentences with him and Nora, who was also there.
This pictures show Arlo and Wenzel and the inner court of the old castle.

Brigitte

It was a wonderful night, I was very glad to meet Brigitte and to attend together this great outdoor concert of Arlo and Wenzel. The weather also was fine (just a little wind :) )

Glad ya'll got to meet each other and Arlo too. Sounds like a fun time. Arlo beware of the bathtubs with claw feet. Been there and done that and it is no fun silpping in one and falling and cutting your head...

Hi I just popped on to see how Arlo was doing in Ireland and found this incredible news that Cecile travelled overed 400 miles to meet Brigitte and attend the Arlo Guthrie concert.

I am almost without words. Freindships through this crazy and honest place called arlo.net are true, amazing, unique and invaluable.

I think so too. I had a real nice time with Cecile and hope that we will be able to go to another Arlo concert together sometime.
