OK, not a palindrome, but reminds me of an old song:

I used to work in Defoola
I used to work there in a store
I used to work in Defoola
But I don't work there anymore.......

One day a lady came in for a cake
I asked what kind she wanted
"Layer" she said, so layer I did
Now I don't work there anymore........

One day a lady came in for a drink
I asked her what kind she wanted
"Liquor" she said, so liquor I did
Now I don't work there any more........

One day a lady came in for a card game
I asked what kind she wanted
"Poker" she said, so poker I did
Now I don't work there anymore........

I used to work in Defoola
I used to work there in a store
I used to work in Defoola
But I don't work there anymore........

Like Pete always says, "Feel free to make up your own verses" - (notice how cleverly we have come back around again to "verses?"

one day a fellow came in for a ride,
he said it would take most the night
i said, "nocturnal chauffeur? i hardly knew 'er!"
which did bring a tear to his eye.

well maybe that wasn't exactly right

When it comes to verse and song
There's no such thing as right or wrong

as for the "us" and "them" thing,,,i feel lucky to have seen so much "sameness" in so many different kinds of people...but when it comes to naziism for instance...i don't know what to do with that. i don't feel that as part of the collective sort of "sameness" i was talking about...and the treachery and opportunism used by those, involved in sucking in others by any avenue possible for ones own style of the same kind of weirdness...

Sometimes I think those same kind of thoughts Agnes. I think that "those" kind of people, like the hard-core nazi-types, the Ted Bundys, Dick Cheneys, Jack-the-Rippers, and anyone who would molest or in any way harm a child.......those "people," while technically human, are just not made out of the same glue as the vast majority of human beings on this planet.........

There are traditional Us and Them's that I see commonly applied. People often categorize themselves in boundaries. White, Christian, Capitalist, American,. In my life I have seen these us or them's create all kinds of death and destruction.

Don't delude yourself, these are examples of humans. Vast majorities can kill on a grand scale!

"Three chords and the truth." - Harlan Howard

"Start on a chord and use all of them before coming back." - Paul Simon

"Words that work." - Paul McCartney

"Experiment with your pronouns." - Adam Seltzer

There are lots of rules. The only one I memorized is Harlan's. The first part is optional except in Nashville. The second part is optional in Hollywood. Everything is optional in New York.

"Rules are made to be broken." - I don't know who said that.

"I make my own rules." - I said that.
