had fun catching up on these clips! that etta james clip is adorable (don't mind my saying so)

when i read about johnny otis on the other thread i thought about shuggie and found this clip.
a pretty cute slide show i thought, includes one pic of shuggie with his dad johnny

Always liked Strawberry Letter 23. After watching that one I came across this clip. I think I remember seeing this one yrs ago as a kiddo. I always loved Hullaballo back then.

i enjoyed the clips you posted and that looks like a really cool cd! it also appears it is not something that would generally be available from an area music shop, ah well (speaking for myself only). another one of those rare gems i guess! (it really does look like a good one!) i will keep my eyes open, and perhaps the opportunity will present!

i did decide to see if i could find something on you tube (it is not the r crumb version which i've no doubt would be enjoyable but the artists listed on the cd ) in the reviews i noticed someone mentioned their favs and so i took the first song title mentioned and found it here...what a clip!

but i wanted to check out the title track

and on the groundhogs, field mice, and animals in general theme, i decided to go see what the possum posse might be up to and this is the first thing that showed up...it is like, hmmm, so okay and i checked it out...it is kind of entertaining!?

the radio version was a bit different, i wish i could have included everyone in it, but i could not find it to put...but still

"i am really a very simple person" and that is the name of it :)

i did a search and there is a version that includes (along with eve beglarian) jeffrey gavett on vocals, and mary rowell on violin...i think that may be the one i heard on the radio.
