How amusing is it that they made "The Once-Ler" look very much like Arlo in his youth?

That's all I could see as I watched the film, was Arlo singing and playing his guitar and knitting Thneeds. (I'm suprised "The Once-Ler" wasn't driving a red VW microbus).


Was it just a coincidence?

So I am the only one to be amused by this?


......How about this,...... I'd like to see "Alice's Restaurant" re-written as a full-length computer-animated film by the same production company as "The Lorax" and "Despicable Me".


I think it would be hysterical to re-release this movie as an animated film. (R-rated, even). Throw in some more modern humor and perhaps some hallucinigenic references, (and some boobies), ... and this thing could become classic.

When I saw the post, I did mean to reply that the cartoon character does resemble Arlo in his younger days, but got distracted. I'm not familiar with the cartoon, though an animated remake of "Alice's....." might be pretty cool. Maybe done sorta like "Yellow Submarine"

You're right, there is a slight resemblance. Spooky!

But Arlo was a much cuter laddie. And had better hair.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of computer animation and wouldn't want to see "Alice's" all-natural, home-grown, home-made, acoustic, herbal aura be sacrificed to the cyber-gods.
I'd much prefer a claymation (or clam-mation???) version. That would be amusing.
Maybe a claymation version of "When Mooses Come Walking" for starters. Clay is perfect for mooses!
