If that white thing in you pocket
aint your old ladys diamond ring

and the hot cholula burns you
her red pepper really has a zing

dont tell me where your going to
its only blues if you can sing

are you half full or half nuts
or just rented till next morning

is the band playing sideways
and words dont have that same old ring

if the blues come to get you
tell it baby you better sing

does it really matter
try not to stumble before you fall

only down the hall way
turn right at the crystle ball

tell me all about it
before the rain starts to fall

BUT FOR NOW....
No, I'm fine
just blue tonight my friend..
no need to worry nor question..
just blue for awhile
in a little I'll smile
but for now..
I choose sorrow to rule and then...
when I'm teary from missing my dead son,
when I'm weary from loving my young one,
when I'm red-eyed
from reading pitiful sonnets
wooing someone who is not there.
when I'm deaf to the cries of my regrets
when I finally own up to my debts
then soon..
I will release sorrow's iron grasp
till then, just go and take care.
but for now,
I am mourning for so many lost loves..
from children
to lovers
to himself above.
I am hanging my head
and I'm salting the ground
as my energy wanes
my eyes are cast down.
Tomorrow
I'll walk with strength in my stride
my smile will be genuine
my laugh from inside.
tomorrow I'll choose to rejoice life again
but for now,
I'm just blue tonight my friend.

that was nice.

*I'll be glad for tommorro, myself.

I know not of your pain, can't say I understand.

Sometimes we need a little rain. Least that's what my Dad used to tell me.

All sincerity/Rb

Edited to add....I have a lil prayer for the children.....(We lost Sue's nephew at 9 yrs. old. Little Bradley).

*** Times that I think of him, I am reminded of all the other children. You don't always have to know them, to have em touch your heart***

Peace and love (icon)
