Nashville is 300 miles away, I am in the very North East, 13 miles from Bristo; Va and 30 miles from Boone NC, but if you drove I-81 you got close....

The snow came Thursday night and we got about 6 inchs of it here. The schools close due to the kids who live back in the hills, it can be 50 degrees here in the valley and the roads in the mountains can be covered with ice and snow.

We had a great time in Music City--just there for the WG Tribute concert (see the setlist posted on Arlonet forums). We came up 65 to Louisville, so we didn't get that close to where you were. My Marine left this morning for a 24-hr Greyhound ride to Jacksonville NC, Camp Geiger for School of Infantry. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/bawling.gif" width=21 height=16>

~~Waves back to Sparky~~ Hope that's not frostbite! Warmed up a little here ... it's a balmy 16 degrees today (wind chill of 3--ABOVE 0 for once). I am officially and unequivocally in "I HATE WINTER" mode!!! (Didn't help that it took me almost 2 hours to drive 32 miles home in a blizzard Monday night. Yes, I'm whining. Even the full-spectrum light bulbs aren't working now. I need warmth and sunshine and springtime and...and...and...)

We are having a heat wave, my goodness even the snow has left us for colder climates. I am staring at trees hoping to see the first sign of spring, Once that sap starts running, I will once again be the stick man, until then I remain the poor man.....

Hope it warms up for all you folks and remember this, at least you don't have to mow the lawn.....
