Todd always told me that he was more Woody than he was Arlo. And like Woody, Todd could tell you something you already knew, and you would still feel like he taught you something after he did.
Todd could also tell you to go f**k yourself, and you would smile and thank him for the suggestion, and mean it. I don't know if Woody could do that or not.

Hi. I just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten the Todd page. I've got some pix from you guys and just have to put it together with some of Todd's own words. However, lotta stuff's been happening here and now it's getting ready for Thankgiving so it could take while longer.

Sat nite Mike & I donated $10 to the church. We decided it would be in memory of Todd. We told Arlo about it. I told him I think it would be great if folks could donate something in memory of Todd say $5 or $10 whatever they can afford. Arlo thought that was a great idea & spoke very highly & well of Todd. Before the show, I got a sense that if Todd would've been able to, he would've been there. I got a confirmation when I heard several church bells start ringing... Donate $5 or $10 to the church in memory of Todd & help a church in memory of him... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>

Todd gave me a neat gift that I use almost daily.

I was thinking about that a lot yesterday, and this morning remembered that there was a place to share these thoughts....Right Here!

During a most sad and trying time in my life,
I got a Todd email from out of the blue.
I lost the exact quote when my computer crashed, but I'll never forget the gist of it...
It went something like,

<B><I>"....Kitty, I didn't want you to think I didn't love you for lack of my not saying so.

I love you."</B></I>

I remember how his words touched me so deeply.
I sat in front of my computer and cried...so grateful for his caring in the midst of such a painful time. I had thought I was alone.
He reminded me that I am never "alone".

Later, I began to notice how many times he would say something in that Todd way....like,

"I didn't want to miss the chance to___ for lack of asking..."

How many times since then I've risked a "No" answer by speaking up or asking something, thanks to that "Todd-ism" inside my heart...."I didn't want to miss a "Yes" for lack of asking..."
Many times I've been happily suprised by a "Yes"!
And many times I HAVE gotten a "No" answer, but have always been comforable with whatever answer I recieved...knowing I had not missed something from lack of trying!

What an unobvious gift that was....and continues to be. Because of that, I always feel him close by...

I wouldn't want you all to have forgotten that part of Todd for lack of me telling the story..... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>
