If we pretend to keep challenging each other drawing lines in the sand who knows how long they'll keep whippin those woks!!(only kidding guys, in reality I despise women who use their feminine wyles to get blokes to fight over them, heck I don't like women who do that to get anything!'specially when they add the vapours or act like a martyr)

Heck, if you're all gonna define a good husband as one who cooks, I can whip up a few fish dishes myself. There's one weekend a year where the women of the house go away & I'm in charge of feeding my boys. Naturally, I don't wanna feed 'em what bachelors usually eat for dinner (e.g., donuts) so I tried to learn how to do some stuff. Their favorites are my cajun catfish & fried scallops.

At first, my attempts were rather fumbling. It took a long time to get the catfish ready the 1st time coz the label said to rinse 'em thoroughly & then have 'em pat-dried. I went immediately to Arlonet to see if Pat was on line. She wasn't, I waited, then figured that there was no way she'd ever come to Pittsburgh just to dry off some catfish & even if she would we wouldn't wanna wait anyways, so I dried 'em myself. No offense to Pat, but I dried 'em as well as she could have.

Next I put the fish in a baking pan in lotsa ReaLemon & brushed butter on 'em & added McCormick's cajun spices. I wondered how long to bake 'em, so I went on line & did a search. The shortest time I saw was 15 minutes, the longest about 2 hours, so I figured that I'd let 'em bake until the thickest part of the fish was easily broken with a fork. And in all modesty, they turned out great.

So ya see, there's nothin' to this cooking stuff...
