We've been having lots of new and old friends showing up for the Hoots but there's still room for you. Great coffee and teas, hot and cold, and probably a snack available. Great conversation with great people. See you there!

I have been there two times and it was fun meeting new folks and playing a little and hearing other folks sing. The thing with open mikes are a few things...one is you can test your new stuff, two you can make some new friends, three you just might be able to hear some damn good music.
Hi Kurt, thanks for the ride!

Time to enjoy the great weather. And then enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea and some good conversation and music. Come to the Hootenanny at the Guthrie Center. Signup is at 7:00pm and the music starts about 8:00pm.

Now that the flurry of excitement of back to school is over, what better way to recover than a nice cup of tea or coffee, good conversation, and great music? Come to the Guthrie Center and treat yourself to a Hootenanny! Sign up starts at 7:00pm and the music commences around 8:00pm.

Two audients and three singers. We almost had three audients but as soon as he heard that Arlo doesn't come to the hoots, he split. Oh well.

I predict that in a couple of weeks there will be a record number of audients. We wish we could be there every week, but the airfare is prohibitive.

Gas prices too, which would make it very hard for a two hour drive up to the church and two hours back home every week.

Nah, I'd do it if I could. Like Ceashel said, airfare is prohibitive...

Kurt, kj is right! Do you ever notice, in the middle of a Hoot, that it seems a bit close there in the Church...that it feels as though some of the space is not really empty space? That more oxygen has disappeared than the audients and performers account for? That's because we really are there; you just can't see us. We also tend to congregate in operating rooms and other places if a Blunderite needs us. But being in the Church is best, so we're there whenever something's going on. At least we don't create long lines for the restroom this way! (And you think you're nuts!?!)
