thank you all, especially larry and sparky..

finally made it to the library and puter...both are closed on weekends and holidays...which is why i was not able to utilize them til now.

depending on tips surgery schedule, might go home tomorrow til it's time to prep..i do believe the support this broken old junkie
gets from the medical esablishment comes from an ability to smile when things seem at
their worst...and an aquired skill at embellishing the simplest fact into a full blown story...thanks, adg!!

sparky called me last night while i was plugged into no less than three portals and
having my lung punctured to remove fluids...
anyway, i got rid of him fast..as you can probably imagine...after phone was removed i mumbled something about F'n Canadians!!
and the whole room started laughing...it's times like that they tell me i'm different and one of the best canidates for transplant
they've come across.

my love to you all...stay safe...later!

well if that makes you a better candidate for transplant todd, perhaps you should tell them of your heroics in the great U.S. - Canadian Blunderwars!!! You'll go to the head of the lists!!!

my thoughts go with you always...

Wow. Took awhile to get caught up with this thread ... Hope you can read this from home, Todd--I'm hoping you have another surge of better health until the transplant comes through. Prayers and blundervibes continue your way. (Wish I could've been a fly on the wall when you took Sparky's call.) <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Hey todd,,,glad to see you made it to the library and posted...
a bright spot in a otherwise dark day for me....

some old friends "deadheads"...called this morning....Jerry,s gone,,,we all moved on,,,lost touch,,,,,,,had a hard time finding me,,,,
Found me to tell me lost a much younger "kind" friend,,,,,,only 29, passed after a 10 month battle with cancer....
He was kind loving person, loved life, music, writing and playing music and poetry,,,,

R.I.P Matt....

Sparky, R.I.P to Matt; where he is, there's no downtime from the ISP, so I know he's in on all the Deadhead chats. I'm sorry for your loss.

Thank you, Todd, for getting news out to us and keeping us posted. Vibes. . . .

Hey Ceashel,,,thanks for your thoughts.....
Matt was a local boy here,,,known by many on the local music scene...had many, many friends....made some "on the bus"...
hard to get a handle on someone so young passing this way,,,it sucks !!
a little bit from the obituary.

Matt's life was a gift and he leaves to mourn many friends, relatives and collegues
He possessed a brilliant mind, a free spirit, a kind heart and a strong social conscience. A talented writer, poet and folk singer, he loved life and displayed remarkable strength of character and maturity in the face of this aggressive cancer
If you would care to do something in memory of Matt, please choose a day soon to live consciously in the present: live, laugh, love, feel, share and delight in the moment, for this life is precious and, oh, so fragile.

Sparky, so sorry to hear about your friend, Matt. He was obviously an amazing person to have accomplished so much and touch so many lives in so short a time. I will certainly pick a day soon.

Oh, I'm so sorry you're this sick, Todd! If I could figure out a way to get a lap top with connectivity to you in the hospital, I would!
Love ya Todd!!
