Some of my friends around arlonet know that the smurf's future husband plays drums (and occasionally sings and plays tamborine) in a band called Evick...tonight they had their cd release party and it was something else!!

I never imagined in my younger days of seeing bands that one day I would be related to a member of one...much less such a sucessful one!

Its definately not folk music but I love it anyway!..if you feel like checking out their website its Evick.com and one of the members, Dan, created the site.

Well, actually they are supposed to be on MTV. Not that I am totally thrilled because they will be on for spring break but I am happy none the less.

Was checking out evick.com and noticed Evick is doing a benefit concert, along with other bands, in an effort to help raise money for those who suffered loss/damage from that badass tornado that ripped through Southern Maryland on April 28th. The benefit concert called Southern Maryland Tornado Benefit has been planned for June 23rd, 2002 at Neptune's Club and Grille in California, Maryland.
Sounds like a great cause and a great time!
