Where is Beverley? A friend of Beverley's sent me an e-mail message to let us know that Beverley's computer crashed on the 23rd, and she may not be around arlonet for a week or so. I can relay messages through him if they can't wait until her return to the boards.

(This could be a thread for "whereabouts" queries and notices if any of us should seem to have strayed, instead of starting a separate thread each time.)

Been back two days before I noticed this, Thanks so much for wondering about me. It did take longer than I hoped but I couldn't really rush it along, as a friend of a friend was sorting in out for me. If I had taken it to a shop I would have been charged £165 ($250ish) to save the hard drive and then what ever extra to sort out the problem and them some more to reload the whole systam. But this friend of a friend who is really good with all things incomprehensible said that he would sort it all out for £20 ($35) so I carn't complain.

Here I is! And Levi, I miss you so bad. I miss you something terrible. I have plently of time to write now, because the other day I was sitting at a stoplight, minding my own business, and one of those sentient beings I am always praying for drove her Toyota up onto my back seat. The sentient beings at the insurance company are gathering endless bad karma, being piggy about getting me a rental car, and life is rapidly going downhill here. Toothpaste and toilet paper are nearly gone, but fortunately the food is too, so we won't need those things soon anyway. If anyone can get me laughing about no food, no car, no toothpaste, no toilet paper, it's Levi. So I'm counting on you.

I hear from Nathen fairly regularly, but nothing for a week or so...maybe he is on his way here with a car... If so, bring me a Whopper Jr,...and napkins....

Cheryl, you are always so thoughtful and sweet. Thank you! Your vibes must be strong, because the insurance company got me a rental, and I went straight to K-Mart and loaded up on the other stuff. Life is good again.

Batty! Yer alive and well! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/bounce.gif" width=31 height=31> despite an occasional perilous and unfortunate adventure here and there. Been there, done that. I'd send you money but the only money I have right now until I get paid is money from my kids Monopoly game . Will you accept a much post-dated check? I started a new job recently but won't get my first paycheck til last week in August. I know what it's like to not have any toothpaste, toilet paper, food, car and K-Mart wouldn't accept my Monopoly money. Made my usual rounds to McDonald's and Wendy's ordering the usual... "An ice water and two big handfuls of napkins please!" Found an old old box of Arm & Hammer baking soda in the cabinet to use for toothpaste like grandma used to use. I think it was grandma's. No wonder she had dentures, YEUCK!!! I had a sentient friend that tried to help by giving me a roll of toilet paper on wheels and said "There, now you have a TP Cruiser! But I remembered what somebody was quoted as saying the other day... "Life is good!"
