Hey Todd...! Howzit...??
I'm on my "victory tour" of Calif. prior to moving to FLA. Eureka, last weekend, San Diego now, SF next wknd, back to Eureka Sep 1st, then, off to the land of big bugs & hanging chads. It seems that my 56th year is a good time to start another big adventure....I'm on more sparsely than before, but I won't lose touch, here... still planning to be at the Church, in Oct.. maybe in Cea & Jays clothes hamper, but there, nonetheless.
How are you doing, Todd??
10-4, breaker back...

Glad you changed your mind about having a "Todd's Place." Obviously must finally be feeling better to hit the Ren Faires. Don't have one around here, but recently went to a local Celtic festival. Those have become very popular around here. Same fun stuff--just traded the oom-pah-pah bands for bagpipes, and beer and brats for beer and pasties.

I might make your phone jingle anyway.
Hoping that the procedure is as comfortable and successful as possible sir.
I can identify with that village idiot thing by the way.

Although I live "right down the road" so to speak, I've never managed to get to the RF. I've heard great things about it. My oldest son (now almost 19) went there on a class trip 2 years ago and loved it; he even teased the queen and got teased right back. He said that part was "awesome".

It runs through October, I believe, and will consider going this year. I hate summer, I hate crowds... actually, I don't hate summer: I hate the humidity here!

School starts next week, so I know Fall is right around the corner. Maybe this will be the year I finally get there... we get discount tickets at every store here, so I'm out of excuses, I guess.

Another thing: I really don't understand what the spectators actually DO there. Are there stage plays? According to my son, the "actors" just walk around and mingle.

Of course, I've never understood the Civil War re-enactments we have here all year round. Do they actually kill each other? What's the point???

Terrie

I enjoy the Ren Faire every year... the one in Tuxedo NY... runs until Mid-September... I'll be going either next week or the week after labor day... the holiday weekend is always crowded, and I'd rather avoid that, since I only go once in the season.

This year one of my daughters is a serving wench in the publick house! (I do like my mead!) Should be a blast!
