Terrie, my sister, had a heart attack on Thurs. Sept. 23. She was taken to Reading Hospital by ambulance, which she wanted to drive! (She gets carsick if she's not the driver) Obviously, she wasn't allowed to drive. Once at the hospital, she "coded" and they needed to use the "crash cart". Thankfully her heart started beating regularly again quickly so there is no real damage. One artery was completely blocked, so a stent was inserted. So, no more fast food for her! She's on blood thinners and cholesterol medication now. She'll be in the hospital for 4 or 5 days. I visited her today and she was in good spirits. well the brownies are probably not high on the doctors recommended post-infarction diet, so just pass them over to me, and I'll smile and moan alot while I eat them, so terrie can see how good they woulda' been, and she can feel all better and everything real soon...

I'm writing from my hospital bed, Lance and Michael are here with me.

I have gotten 2 bags of blood today and don't know when I'll be alloweed out of bed, even just to have a brief change of scenery.

I had an emergency CT scan late Thursday night as I've had some abdominal hemmhoraging but they were able to stop the bleeds without surgery.

Obviously, I have to quit smoking but an occcasional brownie should be ok.

Doc says my heart is fine to make the trip up to the Church, but might not allow it because of the weakness and lousy blood count; hopefully I'll have an answer by early next week.
