This Sunday, October 15, from noon till dusk, the Beacon Sloop Club will be having a Pumpkin Festival. Weather permitting, there will be free rides on the Woody Guthrie, a thirty foot long Hudson River Ferry sloop. Fresh pumpkin pies and vegetarian chili will be available. Vanaver Caravan will be performing along with other musical performers. The Farmer's Market will be open as usual for the best in local cheese and produce. Come have some fun and learn a thing or two at the Beacon Sloop Club Clubhouse next to the Beacon train station this Sunday noon till dusk.

JohnC & I will be there unless they say it's going to POUR. We went last year and it was just wonderful. Ol' Pete in his Orange watch cap doing the limbo with a bunch of kids. Nora Guthrie even stopped by. Can't beat it.
