Some of you may remember Mangomaid, who used to spend some time here a ways back. She was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago, an especially nasty form of it, and has been through surgeries and several courses of radiation and chemo, with quiet times when things were "calm" in between. Being a breast cancer survivor myself (It was 9 years ago today that I received the diagnosis from my doctor), I have stayed in touch with Chris (her name off these boards) since her diagnosis, and just received the news yesterday that she now has metastases of the spine and a couple lesions in her liver. She has started radiation again, and will start chemo after 3 weeks of radiation. She could really use your vibes, prayers, and good thoughts, so please do what you all know how to do so well!

Of course she has my prayers. Judy, I had no idea it's been that long for you, congratulations! That's fabulous. Hope your friend does as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with her! Tell her never give up or give in to what the Dr's say. My aunt had breast cancer 9 year ago and for the past 3 her cancer has been active again. It's in several places in her body. She was told 3 years ago she had at most 6 months. Then was told the pill she was on would only work for a year. Well guess what...shes proved them wrong over and over!
