Is anyone going to D.C. on Mon to help Cindy surround Shrub's house??
Gosh I wish I could be there! Details on Mike M's site.
If anyone goes please tell us all about it!
I think we're gonna win this time!!!! You'll hear me screaming for joy from all the way down here!!
Gosh, there will be mountains of enquiries going on if we do it!!

OK it's 6PM Wed eveing here (4AM Wed Morn there EST), we've got the house!!! Waiting to here on the Senate.
Apparently Shrub is on his tummy on the floor of the Oval Office kicking his feet and banging his fists and crying. (Well thats how I like to imagine it) They actually said on the radio news here....."Pres. B is VERY dissapointed in the results so far"

I like the imagery, Wheezie! Yippie for the house! And it looks like we may effectively have the senate even if we don't get both Va. and Mont.--with Barney Frank and Lieberman saying they'll vote with the dems. More pins & needles today, though. It doesn't pay to be over-confident. Down here (up here to Louise) in Texas, we just have to concentrate on the national picture. It was dismal here. Horrible. Texas politics as usual. Makes me feel embarassed--like I must be some kind of masochist to stay here. But if I am, Molly Ivins is, too. Maybe we just like a good scrap now and again.

...as i rejoice today, i keep thinking about Molly's column that she wrote after Bush's last presidential win... about the chicken-killin' dog...gave me some hope in lots of tough moments....

how right she was...and funny about it, too....
