Oh yes! Under your system, the rich are getting richer richer richer.. Way to go! Almost 100 years of FDR type bullshit government and it has done nothing but spread misery from sea to shining sea. If I were the rich boss man bogeyman you always refer to, I would love YOUR system.

Have you not got on and on about Free Market Capitalism as the solution? Was it not Free Market Capitalism (or the closest thing to it) they gave us the Gilded Age when the the wealthy 1% were actually the wealthy 0.2%? I think your vision of the good old days is about as credible is your bullshit about how the Federal Insurance programs have contributed to the debt in this country.

Again, not that there are not issues that need to be addressed and addressed now. But taking the millions of people in retirement and cutting off their lifeline and medical care is just f@^*%g stupid. And again WE HAVE THIS SYSTEM BECAUSE FREE MARKET CAPITALISM FAILED! That is why FDR did what he did.

By the way

Prior to the absolute FAILURE OF FREE MARKET CAPITALISM there was even greater disparity in the wealth of this country and the world wasn't particularly rosy and communism sounded like a pretty good option to a lot of the people in the working class.

Let me get this straight. So your defense is, we have spent trillions of dollars and moved the needle .8%, destroyed the middle class, created a dependency class, and then go on to call my ideas bullshit.. Wonderful..

I would never do that, nor have I said I would. I would not have the government not make good on its promises, no matter how socialists they were. I would however stop making those promises.

Here we go, middle of the road compromise. I will give on the tax issue and allow SS taxes to continue, if you compromise and allow people to put a percentage of those funds into private investments, and I will even allow you to approve said investments (to a degree). The rest of the funds go back to the current ponzi scheme to pay off previous investors (what people already paid into SS). When it comes time to retire, if the persons monthly check would have been more under SS than their retirement plan, the government pays a check to make up the difference. Deal?

There was no failure of the free market capitalism system, because it hasn't been in place for almost 100 years.. But let's cut through the bullshit shall we? When America started, we were using horses and wagons, bloodletting as medicine, and burying our food underground to keep it from spoiling. Never in the history of the world has human kind come so far in such a short period of time. A great deal of that sir, was directly from the economic powerhouse created by a capitalistic America. It broke loose from the peasant serf societies of Europe. Now those same societies are dragging it down. It is no coincidence that America's greatness has diminished in lockstep to the amount of socialism introduced to her.

I'm sorry Agnes, is there some point you want me to address? I am rather busy replying to three people at a time, whereas they are all replying to just me. I will say that sometimes I have replied to the same point over and over, and will just stop because it gets repetitive and dull, but by all means, ask away.

they are not snide remarks, my responses are valid, and you choose to evade them.

You have made NO POINT. There is nothing to evade. If you seem to think there is something I have not answered then put it forward. Since you have posted 4-5 posts of evasion yourself, I am assuming you have none. It's ok, I won't hold it against you.
