I now have a copy on order (they didn't have any on hand), but I did come across another book that I thought I would bring forth as an option for the next book. It's called "A Man to Match His Mountains: Badshah Khan, Nonviolent Soldier of Islam". It's written by Sri Eknath Easwaran. It's basically the story of a muslim freedom fighter who was able to inspire an army of 100,000 men and women to achieve their goals peacefully. I haven't started it yet, but I do have a few other books by Sri Easwaran including "Gandhi the Man: The Story of His Transformation" and "Meditation", both of which are excellent books. Anyways, just a suggestion for the next one. Enough of my ramblings.

just got my copy of imagine nation on inter library loan....took a while to get it....it does look a tad intimidating with the small typeface and amount of pages!

with such a great name..you'd think it would be a great read...guess i'll find out soon enough!

I'm about to make a decision on whether or not to drop the class I'm taking this Semester, until I decide that, not much time for extra reading, but keep me posted on what we're doing. Wyld, I just couldn't make it through Imagine Nation, I turned my copy back in. Right now I'm actually reading Woody Guthrie's "Bound for Glory" and it's great.

I got stuck helping re-arrainging the living room over the wk end. It was then time to move the book shelve, and dust the books. I used to have them alphabetacalized. I guess less order comes with age?

*I wondered awhile, which of these would be my favorite book. It was a hard decision, but 'Clan of the Cave Bear' and 'The Outsiders' were among the top 10. (Of course A Fan's Notes by Exley is my all time fav. but haven't met too many people that could subject themselves to that many new words. I remember the first time I read it. The dictionary was my best friend for about 3 days...<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/eek.gif" width=15 height=15>

**I always wondered how they made a 2 hr. movie (90 + min) of 'The Outsiders'. It's the one book my 15 yr. old son & I share in interest. I guess it's cause lil Rob reminds me of Pony-Boy. (not that there's much in common. Except for maybe size)??? And he loves the scene with the Rabbits. NTM: which I found hard to believe. It's still required reading at O.F.A. It's great to know, some things don't change!...<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif" width=15 height=15>

I think I read the Outsiders when my older daughter had to read it in 7th grade. Might be time to read it again--she's almost 25 now<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>I know I could find that one.
