Political satire. It had been in recession during the whole of the 80s. Clinton's administration started its recovery, but BJs are really not satirical in nature. Now, I'd say it's going very strong.

It's a two sided coin I'm afraid. We're damned if we do, damned if we don't. I think it's about time, we got the hell out of Iraq, GIVE them a ton of money to fix thier place back up. For the hard-core fixer uppers, stay there. I remember when the idea of visiting Viet-Namn was unthinkable. They love Americans, & thier money. From what I've read, and heard.

I don't think the middle east will turn out like Viet Namn tho. Things, (feelings of misstrust & hatred) will linger much longer, and maybe forever. I pray I'm wrong!

Michael Moore isn't endorsing any of the Democratic candidates at this point, but what he says reflects much of what I've been thinking. We all need to force the ten dems to really look at the issues that are important to us, and to be clear on their stands.

I'm looking forward to the next debate on Thursday.

Saw Clark on the Today show yesterday morning ... I've checked out his website and seen bits and pieces of interviews (a few minutes on Maher, etc.) BUT, the more I see and hear him, the more I am impressed. He was very firm, yesterday, on the fact that he is running for president ... not any other (ie VP) position.

I'm not lcj, but IMHO Joe Lieberman (a) can't win and (b) is about as close to a Republican as a Dem can get.

I know that this isn't quite on topic, but it is sort of related, as it's about Mr Shrub's lap dog.

According to the Daily Mail today the results of two poles show that a quarter of Labour MPs want him to stand down immediately amid growing dissent over his handling of the Iraq war and fall out over the death of Dr David Kelly.
That second pole showed that half of the british public wants him to resign now.

The aritical goes on for a while about this couldn't have come at a worse time for him and who been openly voicing concerns over him and so on, but it's all good news <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

two reasons. I can't think of any possible way Lieberman would beat Bush. Second, Lieberman is a Republican. If we're going to have conservatives wrecking America as they are, I'd at least like to have one who doesn't hide it. If Lieberman is the face of the Dem party, I don't know if I can hold my nose for that vote.

Gotta agree with that. If we were to choose to field a totally unelectable candidate there are much better ones that would at least give national level exposure to important ideas. Kucinich or Carol Mosely-Braun would have just as much chance as Lieberman, IMHO, polls notwithstanding and would have important things to say. Hell, for that matter, go for broke and nominate Sharpton. However, if things keep up this way, we don't have to field a sacrificial lamb. We can win with one of several electable candidates, none of whom are perfect, but all of whom are head and shoulders above this "miserable failure" to quote Gephardt. This latest thing with the CIA is amazing. Outing a CIA agent is pretty close to treason, especially in these times, but I never thought that it would be followed up like this, with the CIA calling for an investigation. All of this is getting way interesting.
