Arlo told me once he doesn't pick the ticket prices, it's the venues who decide how much tix are. Sadly they don't know that regular folks are attending the shows. Arlo's not a part of the evening gown & suits crowd but he does have some suits & looks nice in 'em. Sadly at benefits performers like ADG have to put up with the uppity tax write off crowd when they'd rather be with the little folks. That's why I love Arlo. He never forgot his raising & never got uppity & still loves the little people...

Here's a good one... My cousin Jason Mraz the comtemporary folksinger(has the current hit out called "The Remedy") is doing a local show here in Richmond at the Landmark theatre in Oct. We are going. I got tix & the tix all with the dumb Ticketmaster fees (I despise their fees-- I know they gotta make some $$$ but I wish they wouldn't bleed ya dry) came to around $71. (For $28 something a person tix). Ouch! I am getting a $10 off coupon on my tix for joining some travel club for $1. Had to join that in order to get the $10 off coupon. Once my 3 months with that is up, bye bye I go as I can't afford $80 a yr to belong to it. & Our seats are in 14th row cuz they went on sale without the sale date being announced so folks would know when they were going on sale. Anyway, I am having to pay to see relatives now LOL! & He's doing a gig in Norfolk in Nov the nite before T-giving so we'll be going to that.

Add in the 2 Arlo shows in Alexandria, VA in Oct & the Staunton & Roanoke Arlo shows in Nov plus a trip in Oct to KY to a reunion for folks who used to live in the area of KY that Mike is from & folks who still live there & they all get together every yr Columbus day weekend. If we go with Mikes cousin & her hubby we'll probably only need 2 nites motel. But if they don't go or if they go & don't have the room for us to ride with them then I'll have to drive & that means we gotta get a motel on the way up & back as it's too far for me to handle all the driving up there in one day. That's 4 nites motel. Add all that up & I'll stretching out leftovers & trying to find out coupons for eating out for the next coupla months LOL!

Everything is all coming at one time & it's too bad stuff wasn't separated like 2 of the Arlo shows being next yr or something. This is a rare event tho 4 Arlo shows in VA in 2 months. So we celebrate...

I too would rather have the good seats. Sadly tho sometimes they are sold out of the good ones or are prices out of reach. Maybe you can get the cheap ones. If you went I know you'd have a great time. Cuz it's Arlo & he makes ya feel welcome & have a good time. But we feel for ya... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>
