If a double negative means yes, and a double positive means no, what does it mean if someone gives you an "almost maybe"?

Since Neil Young wrote a song about a groupie called "Cinnamon Girl", if Arlo wrote a song about Cheryl would he call it "Nutmeg Girl"? And if so, would the Spice Girls sue?
