I don't know if anyone's doing this in other parts of the country, but here Starbucks will give you a free cup of coffee today if you go in and just tell them that you voted. And if you show your "My Vote Counted" sticker that you get after voting, CrispyCreme will give you a free star-shaped doughnut with red, white, and blue sprinkles. (It is a very good thing that I don't LIKE CrispyCreme doughnuts.)

Now THAT's a good reason to vote. Whatever it takes ...

The consortium of six news organizations gathering the exit poll data — NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, CNN and The Associated Press — have agreed to keep the information under quarantine until 5 p.m.

Representatives of those news organizations will begin analyzing that information at a secret location beginning in late morning, but will have to surrender all electronic devices at the door; even restroom visits will be supervised. There were already signs on Monday that the additional security was paying off.

Speaking of write ins, the ballot I voted today had so many Republicans runnning uncontested I thougth it unconstitutional. It's frustrating when you get a phone call from the local media asking you about your "NON - REPUBLICAN " views and I asked the reported, "How did you get my phone number? " The reporter replied "You are one of 4 who made a contribution to the democratic party.That is public record."

Today I voted for a democrat presidential candidate , but mostly voted Libertarian ...
Thinking that if the Republican party had a plan and knew what they were doing, they could have seem Romney as the ecomincs guy..and for sure would not have picked a maverick scattered brain for a VP.
