Martin, you need to go to other topics such as the blunderboard and post, I have a feeling that you have humor in your bones, if you can make me laugh you will get seven blunder bucks to be spent in blunderlannd for cookies, they have some real fine cookies.

while I can almost always see the humor & irony in everything, including my own occasionally professorial pontifications, this war is getting to me... I have serious reservations about W's motivations for the timing & execution of the use of force, in Iraq and, am deeply concerned about whether the "end-game" is designed to benefit Iraqi people, or US & multinational corporations, more, not to mention the degree to which this war will trigger and end to "world-wide civility" as we know it.... Saddam's minions are displaying such evil disregard for human life, that, I'm sure our view of humanity will be severly tested in the streets of Baghdad. Mosques and hospitals as fire points, children and women as human shields, torture and use of bio-chem weapons, indicate no underlying philosophy, religious, national, asesthetic, or otherwise..only a vengefull, spitefull nihilism, designed to enflame the most radical Islamic "believers", throughout the world. I see no light at the end of this tunnel, only yellow gas and the blood of innocent people. WE need some serious miricales, now, as a species, or, we watch, as we take our place in the tar pits of geologic time, right beside the dinosaurs. Maybe that's the lesson, here, it's the beginning of the sentient aquatic ascention. God bless the dolphins and whales, may they be better citizens of this planet, than we have been...

Bumper, I'm scared, too, but I'm not ready to give up. The human spirit at its best is much too strong and good to go out just yet. We could certainly use some miracles, and who knows, maybe they are on their way. Do it, and let your voice be heard by God and government. However, it is certain now that since this war was started it will only end when it runs it's course and Saddam and his regime are gone.

Bumper, I can't quote it exactly, but a certain person has been heard to say that people in situations like that may be hoping that somewhere, someone is happy, somewhere someone is singing. What that says to me is that even though there's despair in my heart about what is happening in the world, one way I can help--really help--is to cherish the good and sing when I can, so I am able to put out positive Blundervibes for them and for all of us. Sometimes it's harder than at other times. Arlo music and videos help me over the rough spots, as does coming here.
