She certainly created a HUGE mess where I work, everybody excitedly hopped and bowed to do what she wanted. Though that is partly because she showed up to "help out" with the institution of her plan. We are still feeling the effects of that plan of hers. Just my observation.

What kind of effects? I thought it was pretty much abandoned long ago and far away.

Dear Employee,

As the CFO of this business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our new President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to see an increase in our fees to them of about 8%, but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off eight of our employees instead. This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I strolled thru our parking lot and found 8 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.

If you have a better idea, let me know.

Sincerely,

The Boss

Oh dear. You've taken the brown acid, haven't you?

I just LOVE Barrack Obama's repsponce when asked? " Are you anothe Bill Clinton, or did you inhale?" Barracks responce....

"Isn't that the point"? To Inhale that is"!!!! With a smile on his face. ntm: that photo of Obama standing with arm over arm, with Willie Nelson isn't doctored. It's for real. Aparently Obama isn't like that country music star Kieth ?? Who'll never smoke weed with Willie again. Appently Obama isn't scared of keepin up with ol Willie on a good day!!!

Speculation

I'm glad to have a leader who will admit the facts. We've been a culture at war with itself since I was a kid. Ever see a movie called "In Fortune and Men's Eyes"? We have to quit beating on ourselves for that long trek away from our parent's eyes.

The change is happening. Can you feel it? People are talking to each other. They are giving a damm. Will it last? No, it never does but everytime we get back to this summer of love, we get a little better.

As for Obama and Willie, I start chemo next Thursday (NHL: not fatal. Inconvenient) so if you see Willie, have him drop by my neighborhood. I could use the ... song...

I know I'm being reallll chatty in this forum. I'm staring through time a lot. This is the Vulcan Hall of Records and all our stories will become the whispers in the dark, the dreams of electric sheep someday. If those stories are told to the sound of Arlo pickin', somehow that seems right.

Battlestar Gallactica final tonight. The 'slinger will probably be on stage. So we have some up on the man tonight.

len: good luck with the chemo. I hear it's not quite as bad as it used to be. But I dunno. You can bet, you'll be in my prayers. I aint religious or nuthing, but am a firm believer into the spiritual side of life, and will just think positive thoughts, that your fight, not be in vain.

some medical marijuanna. have high grade. email me if you like. all i can do is suggest a retailer in your area....

i'm on the wagon but it's a LONG story....

take care..... When my Mom had her chemo around 5 yrs. ago, they used to put diphenhydromene, in with her morphine... like the movie, the Bucket List... When Nichcolson's part, is sleeping and they wake him up for his shot of the sweet dream.... "Don't waste perfectly good morphine on a man that's sleeping! Wait till I'm awake for Christ sake...

Audious for a short while...

Kindest Regards/RB

Thanks. I think after the first treatment and I have a real feel for it, I'll get my focus. Scared? Oh hell yes. Still a kid despite the mileage.

The medicines will have to take care of themselves. This is Alabama and medical reefer won't come here until the final judgement. OTOH, we know how to mount a plastic jesus on a dashboard too. :-)

Anyway, it's not the final set for me anytime soon. Just a long dammed inconvenient break in the parking lot. I'm getting my Arlo CDs from Rising Sons (Thanks Deb!!), have a fast Internet connection, and as soon as Gallactica is over, I'll get back to figuring out why the Motu isn't working with Audition as it should. (Assignments, yes but which ones?) So if I can't work, I can write and record.

I am religious but in a God Does The Worrying For Me kind of way. Ekam sat.

Trust God. Breathe. The rest is details.

It is more important you trust the Doctors ...Their opinions and decisions are the most important right now.
And I hope for the very best outcome!

Len,

Chemo? I am sorry. Good luck with that.

Plastic Jesus - that brings back some great memories for me...

I don't car if it rains or freezes
as long as I've got my plastic Jesus
sitting on the dashboard of my car

I'm doing ninety but its not scary
as long as I got my virgin mary
assuring me that I won't go to hell

As does This Land, that ditty has a verse that's usually deleted (and may be here--we'll see):

I don't care if I go in a ditch,
'long as I have that s*****of a b*******
Sitting on the dashboard of my car.

No offense meant--it really was sung by junior high school kids in the day (and may still be sung, for all I know). Always followed by insane laughter.

Thanks for the vibes!

My copy of "In Times Like These" just arrived so I'll go get my haircut listening to new Arlo, them come back and work on a tune. Got the Motu and Audition talking last night. Beautiful spring day outside!

Stay tight Blunderites!

The missus and I have been discussing: where does the name "Arlo" come from? I know of only one person with that name.

Also Arlo's mom Marjorie had a kids book as a kid about a little boy named Arlo & decided she wanted to name her kid after the Arlo in the book. She & woody were walking on a beach or something & Woody drew in the sand or maybe on paper a pic of a character he made up or something and Marjorie saw it was just how she had imagined the Arlo character so they named him Arlo Davy with the Davy being in case he hated the name Arlo. At least his middle name is the same as Davy Jones of the Monkees. I read & heard this in a few places. Hope I got the story right...
