Oh just an old Arlo story about getting the Presidents to be sleeping together, so they could do to each other what they have been doing to the people. There in lays planets exploding on themselves.

Whew! That's a relief. For a moment I thought you were hijacking the thread to a nearby galaxy... :D

On the serious side... (Ahem.... ) Are you digesting any of this perspective? I might point out also that if, as NASA claims, the DG Tau B shows an ignited star obscurred by the dust lane, then how is all that influx of planetary matter lit so brightly? I mean... I mean... how could an agency that was so sloppy and weak enough to fatally risk the lives of 14 astronauts (others too) to satisfy the demands of the political food chain possibly be errant? ;)

That's now. DG Tau B shows a scenario of inbound protostellar material that is illuminated enough to throw that light outward sufficiently to be picked up by the Hubble in the visual spectrum, as well as the invisible. All the energy that makes up our sun was once residing in similar incoming matter. Now, what was once a dust lane has been disrupted to the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Sphere. The latter has been determined to be the source of comets. Lots of ice. Lots of water. Lots of highly compressed deuterium, helium and other main stellar components.

What are you saying? Life blew into are little corner of the universe preformed in the cosmic debris that eventually fell together to form the Earth? In a world of infinite possibilities whose to say, but a world full of infinite possibilities is also a world full of infinite bull shit!

As for Daniel and Revelation, getting through some of that idea might throw some light on the subject of prophecy. Including what Arlo's philosophies, and some others too, tend to point to is that our brains may actually be a form of time machine. They are at least dependent on time as a reference to the present.

Ever see that movie "Oh Brother Were Art Thou"

I love the part were them sirens mystify the boys with sex and liquor and they come to and and Delmer says:

"Them Sirens done loved Ol' Pete into a toad." later he says "We are going to have to find ourselves a wizard to turn ol' Pete back into a human".

This quote here reminds me of that:

We're going to have to find ourselves a wizard to figure out what old Daniel and John on Patmos was trying to reveal all them centuries ago? You know, back when the big guy in the sky was a little more interactive with the human race!

Some think He's more active with us now than ever. Some of us just find it fascinating to put together the puzzle that depicts just how He does it. ;)

As for Revelations 4 horsemen, we just have to look at History to see that they have been riding for a couple thousand years. Surely the beasts are today's establishment.

All of Daniel 2 and 7-12 is one vision, told in different ways, of things to happen on earth. Its not too hard to see that the 4 beasts who came out of the sea in Daniel 7, would have to be Russia, China and America. Our Wizard Dave, may not like that the 4th beast with the 10 horns is the Church itself, with the horns being the Churches which grew out of Rome in Europe.

Oh, that big guy in the sky, has been very active today, through those with insight of Daniel 12:3, who have been shining brightly since the days of Hank Williams and Woody. Its interesting to me, that the 2 times in The Bible, that someone rose their hands, and swore by him who lives for ever, is in Revelations 10 (which was kept secret.) and Daniel 12, when the power of the holy people will be completely shattered. So would the Pearls (as I call them) of Thunder be the holy people?

In reality, this is a thread that should proliferate toward how God, as we know Him, became the ultimate architect of the universe as we know it. I imagine, as you say, Dave won't dig this too much, but my take on Daniel as a whole involves the eradication of pseudo-religions including Christianity, again "as we know it." It might be good to inject here that Atheism was ruled by the Supreme Court to be a religion. It does make one wonder who will be this self-exaulting man who will dismiss all gods and declare himself to be God. Was it Mohamed?

This is another example of a "something for nothing" that is sometimes used to define the concept of abiogenesis, otherwise known as a "universe from nothing."

Something from nothing defines the concept of abiogenesis? What does that mean?

Abiogenesis is spontaneous generation. Where origins are concerned, it is associated with the metaphorical "free lunch." In biology, which is really where the term originated, it is the process by which a salamander can grow a new tail.

Aside from the topic, the biological version is fascinating because the salamander can regenerate its tail without the presence of a scaffold. Now we are able to grow cloned body parts, but we have to first build a mold onto which the lung or heart can be grown.

BTW... for those who would question the semantics, "we" refers to humanity or the collective body of medical researchers.

It is? Did somebody pass a law and get a supreme court ruling on that? Or is this an edict from god? I have been caught unaware.

To me I read this and it says:

Evolution is Creationism.

I mean, that is just my perspective. My perspective has always been a bit suspect!

You are catching on :)

Reverse that to conceive how "Creation involves Evolution." Have you digested any of those wiki links?

Can you prove that?

I doubt if anyone can begin to prove that everything that makes up the universe was always there anymore than NASA can prove there's an ignited star obscurred by that dust lane.

I don't ask you or any other theist to conform to what I believe. I don't fuck with you! I don't want to kill you! I don't care what you believe!

wouldn't the world be better off if everybody was like that!

as far as spontaneous generation is concerned...Pasteur put that to bed over a century ago. As far as science... I understand chemistry....I understand physics....I understand calculus....I understand biochemistry..I understand physical chemistry...I understand comparative anatomy.... I got a public education in Oklahoma and I understand all of these things! You get out of education what you want to get out of it! Hell, I was fucked up in high school at U S Grant High School in southside Oklahoma city back in 72-76. I did LSD and played drums in the marching band. I still managed to catch an education. (Good LSD back then, those Okies from Bakersfield whose parents sent them back to Oklahoma had some good connections! The pot coming across the border from Mexico..primo... Still I survived and can recognize bullshit when I see it. Sorry, don't mean to be rude.... but... I don't need your creation myth....life springing from an organic soup is like a Mary Shelley Nightmare to me!!!!! And that is creationism! I understand non equilibrium thermodynamics and order out of chaos,,.. It is not mystical....The funny thing....I believed in what Jimmy Carter wanted to do in his malaise speech... I was young and training to be a veterinarian but I didn't have the eyes for it (pretty much blind in one eye)... I listened to what he said and committed myself to biomass conversion. Reagan came along and said "F the future, we can get a reprieve on oil costs from the middle east by sucking up to the Saudi's, and we have been living in that world until today. Now Iran is f'n with us again and Israel doesn't love nobody and we are in the same f'n boat.... The difference is I have packed on thirty years.... In that time I have partied with members of the National Academy of Sciences and had them say to me I am young and foolish when I looked upon them as rock stars...i will tell you who they were:

Marvin Bryant....The best microbial ecologist who ever grew a difficult to culture microbe. Claim to fame....microflora of the rumen.
Ralph Wolfe... Methanogenesis biochemistry.
Carl Woese....Archaebacteria
