The patch worked good. Untill bout 48 hrs. after the final treatment, the cravings come back with a vengence....The Zyban worked for my wife, long term...She was in the best mood for the 6 wks. she was taking them. Good things always come to an end...Cold Turkey is the best...But maybe I fooled myself and it was 'the' pipe, instead of the cold turkey....

*A pipe will no doughtedly take off the edge. What you put in it, is your business. Tobbacco is 'the' worst!!! Ever smoke pot out of a Tobbacco pipe in an emergency when you were a kid???? Not a good taste!!!

I dunno. I fell in love with the smell of cherry tobacco when I was no more than 3 or 4, and haven't stopped loving it. That's what's so appealing to me about Marlboros.

Which brings us back to those old saws again, like "One man's meat is another man's poison," and "Chacun son gout." Love them old saws, too.

Congrats, lcj. Glad you made it through weekend one.

Unfortunately, the main problem with talking about quitting smoking is it makes me want to light up. Muffy, Cea, meet you outside.

only thing worse than a bunch of people smokin' in the hallways, is a bunch of smokers cloggin' up the entranceway to a building... why don't you all go to the one final place that it is perfectly acceptable to smoke... your car (with the windows UP!)

Intolerant about smoking?? MOI????

you bet!!

Gee Arnie: why don't you do something smart about it, like fly a plane into a building? That'll prove your point... Or just declare a war and kill us all. That always works. Intolerance tends to be a state of mind, rather than it being a problem with a particular issue, I've always found. If we all quit smoking, you'd fins something else to hate about me, I'm sure, if you haven't already.

Good thing you have no personal habits that are annoying to anyone else, huh? Nearly perfect in every way, just like Mary Poppins, are ya'? Must be nice for you.

Pam, Cea, that's the same reaction I have to talk about quitting smoking. Let's get outside and light up.

lcj, you're doing fine. Don't give up if it's something you really want -- and since you already are only a part time smoker, it doesn't sound like smoking is something you want to do anyway.

Oh ...

Did I mention that intolerance is an even bigger peeve of mine than misspelling "lose" or hearing "unprecedented" yet again on the news?

Arnie you little shit, we God fearing smokers brave the elements to save your pretty pink lumgs, well listen up buddy,

we smoke a little now to avoid burning in hell with the evil doing nonsmokers which have caused so many early deaths in smokers with all your bitching.

......ahhhhh that feels so much better

Arnie you need to have a smoke to calm you down. Unless of course you are Mary Poppins.
