Shannon, I wasn't really talking about what you had to say about it, but rather what I've read in other places around the web, and believe me, a lot of that was anti-American sentiment, just out and out and blatant - which is a person's right as far as I'm concerned. But it's my right to feel how I feel about it, given the facts and circumstances. There were also reactions by people I know, like the one who looked out her window at the Atlantic coastal waters the day after and saw Navy ships..just there to defend her and her neighbors.. and saw them as an indication that we were trying to start a war. That doesn't make any sense. I'm from a generation that's very used to criticizing the government. We've been doing it a long time. I just kind of noticed that it had gotten to the point that some of the people doing the criticizing couldn't seem to process a new thought when it came out of the sky and hit them in the face. Everything that happens needs to be ammunition for their point of view and when it isn't, it'll get twisted around until it is. Not that the other side doesn't do the same thing. Of course they do. Idealogues, like religious fundamentalist extremists, have much in common with each other even when they hold vastly different viewpoints.

no problem, bump...i think their perpetual motion machine is starting to gain some steam...and that's a good thing.

while i'm here...shannono, pat, and anyone...
one of the things that really disturbs me is the constant labeling of others as EVIL!!!

i wish it was that simple..

China will soon be realized as the most powerful nation on this planet...and it ain't because they're EVIL!

Arnie makes a good point. Axis of the Disgruntled doesn't have a ring to it either, at least at first. I think that one has potential, though.

Oh, I think W & Company, have a "hierarchy of evil", going, now, there are Iran, Iraq, & North Korea....then, there's China, they are evil, but, will do "bidness" with us..Cuba's evil, but Jeb needs the Dade County votes, Suadi Arabia's evil, but, we need their oil, hell, W thinks California's evil, but, it's hooked on to the continent..., if I were a New England resident, I'd be worried, though, he may have Army Corps of Engineers draw a "Bush-Cheney Line" then look out, gonna smoke em out, run em down!!!!

Wouldn't the Dade County Cuban community be the ones who think Cuba's the most evil? The Cuban expatriot community is usually the most vocal anti-Castro group anywhere.

Kinda reminds me of that "Twilight Zone" episode where this guy is going to turn all the worlds evil people into 2 foot high at 4 O'clock. Remember what happened to him! One of the better zone parrables if you ask me.

i won't be able to rest til i deal with this...fitzy and rb were not listed because perception of evil oft times stems from fear of the unknown...and since i feel i know them at a deeper level,,i can't view them as truly evil...just guilty by association with me.

as for smrfgrl..i may be a sick old man..but i ain't dead yet!

kitty and mikey were passed over due to their respective potential as vacation stops...there...that said..

my list of non-evil people at arlonet;

lisa guthrie
hillary clinton
wyldflower and homerj
myself
