Okay, here's my current reality; careful what you ask for. Our sweet dog, Mattie (14 or 15 yrs. old) got a UTI, so they put her on an antibiotic. She quit eating, so first we have to cram the pills down her throat, which she absolutely hates, and the rest of the time we run around after her with water and towels because the side effect of this antibiotic is major, full-time diarhhea. Stock tip: buy stock in the company that makes Simple Green. We're using tons of it.

Life is good. Mattie feels better, and today's the last day she has to take the antibiotic. Also, we got a nice cool spell of weather, and it's unseasonably pleasant here.

Good to hear that you are more comfortable and the docs say you are doing better bro. Although we both know you ain't driving the bus, your contribution of maintainance will make the bus go further and farther. Keep up the good work!

Todd, glad you got some respite. It's true, the boards are kinda dead. Not sure why..but I'm sure they'll pick up again for no particular reason. In the meantime, we're just following your saga and we're all glad you're able and willing to share it with us.

Todd, glad you're feeling rested--and glad you're willing to take a risk with personal stuff. Right now, life is good. As far as personal stuff, wish I lived closer to the blunderites who do tax stuff. Did my own--owed $3,000 federal and $500 state. (How's that for personal). So much for a trip East this year. Gotta go get a professional to redo them and file an amended tax return if we can find a few more deductions. Will get it all paid off this month, but sure put a dent in the lean savings. Sheesh. I absolutely hate taxes.

Planning ahead for next year, though, as a 50th birthday present to myself.

Other than that, now that Grandma's coming home (Saturday for sure), life/health stuff is pretty good.

I'm sure that's far more info than you (or anyone else wanted), but what the hell.

Glad you're feeling better, Todd. Ceashel, I'm sorry Mattie was ill, I hope you get many more years with her (I remember when you got her--and she is a sweetie). We finally got another dog a few months ago--a very sweet German shepherd.

Husband is--but he didn't make much last year (was still finishing the house). AND we paid $15,000 in interest on our building loan. I thought that would have made up the difference. That's why we need to see a professional and file an amended return--gotta be something I missed. (Not only that--but with the house, our property tax tripled.)

Only thing is--whining about this seems so petty in light of Todd's needing a transplant, RBs asthma, Anna's kid's asthma, etc. Only money issues. Nothing new there.

Well, Pamram, at least you've filed. DO get a professional. Not a friend who kind of knows how to do it, but someone who knows the ins and outs. As for us, for the third or fourth year in a row, we've filed an extension. Too much other stuff going on in the first quarter to get it together. Not our accountant's fault. I hate this stuff!

Todd, I was being kind of silly in my last post, and showing why you don't necessarily want me to say too much. Please don't take it personally if everone seems to be off their "posting." In my case, it's that I feel like everything in my life is too mundane to mention. Get up, go to work, do boring stuff and deal with assholes, then go home and get ready to do it all over again. It's kind of, you know, like, what I said I'd never get sucked into. Having a case of canine diarhhea in the house has been the highlight of the last week. Pretty pathetic, huh?
