This is from a guy who said "we can eliminate 40% of the debt by defaulting on social security".

This was the dickheads first lie. He knows I never said that.

Oh, then there was this three point beauty:
heraclitis wrote:
Are you telling me the Markets never spin out of balance and leave people destitute? Are you telling me there would good old days before the entitlements when people did not suffer from the failures of capitalism? I guess that whole great depression is a myth?

heraclitis wrote:

Ahh yes, nobody every said it was a failure of capitalism.. Brilliant lie there..

Then:
heraclitis wrote:
Are you telling us it was a Success of Capitalism?

No, I am telling you it was a failure of government, particularly the first socialist constructs of our present day government.

Here I clearly say No it wasn't a success of capitalism, and this douche comes back and lies.

Jafo said, ''Oh look the sycophantic sisters are all back. Guess which one is the biggest Woody fan and win a free lunch at the commune..''[/quote]

Jafo, what specifically are you implying that you don't like about Woody? We all know he was a Troubadour of the people. Woody was also called the conscience of his time. He had a bit of influence on the 60s. We got drunk in a land of material wealth. Oh shit happens. As a man, my fiance Marie nicknamed Woody (we met him him living in the woods.), who ended up on my couch last winter, said, after a month of listening to my 20 gigs of Classic Rock and YouTube, ''You know what went wrong with the 60s? They didn't believe the music.'' Oh well shit happens to makes the flowers grow.

The following quote from Jafo on Jan 28, 2012 10:34am on the Pork Pie Hat Thread:

Jafo wrote:
Quote:
The fact is to date the entitlement systems have not contributed to the debt of this country because it has been solvent (the amount of loans back to the treasury have certainly covered any short falls of the past few years).

When entitlements take up over 40% of the federal spending, where we have to borrow almost $2 trillion a fiscal year, then NOTHING IS SOLVENT. Get it MAAAN? What does it take to get that into your head. If you make $10 dollars a day and spend $4 of it on food, then spend $28 on everything else: you are still insolvent! WTF maaan?

If these entitlements were stopped today, 40% of federal spending is GONE. Magically it would seem.

Note what it says in bold! Sure sounds like defaulting is being presented as a way of magically doing something?

Yes, you are missing something.. Where in there does it say we should DEFAULT on social security? In fact (and you know this), I said we should REPLACE it with a private alternative ( viewtopic.php?f=12&t=14420&start=105#p467147 ). Unfortunately for you, it defeated your stupid little argument so you had to make up this default stuff.

And lets' recap the rest shall we?

Oh, then there was this three, oh WAIT, four point beauty! I see there is one I missed earlier:

And again WE HAVE THIS SYSTEM BECAUSE FREE MARKET CAPITALISM FAILED! That is why FDR did what he did.

''Seventeen states have now introduced bills for state-owned banks, and others are in the works. Hawaii’s innovative state bank bill addresses the foreclosure mess. County-owned banks are being proposed that would tackle the housing crisis by exercising the right of eminent domain on abandoned and foreclosed properties. Arizona has a bill that would do this for homeowners who are current in their payments but underwater, allowing them to refinance at fair market value.

The long-awaited settlement between 49 state Attorneys General and the big five robo-signing banks is proving to be a major disappointment before it has even been signed, sealed and court approved. Critics maintain that the bankers responsible for the housing crisis and the jobs crisis will again be buying their way out of jail, and the curtain will again drop on the scene of the crime.''-Article

''We may not be able to beat the banks, but we don’t have to play their game. We can take our marbles and go home. The Move Your Money campaign has already prompted more than 600,000 consumers to move their funds out of Wall Street banks into local banks, and there are much larger pools that could be pulled out in the form of state revenues. States generally deposit their revenues and invest their capital with large Wall Street banks, which use those hefty sums to speculate, invest abroad, and buy up the local banks that service our communities and local economies. The states receive a modest interest, and Wall Street lends the money back at much higher interest.''-Article

You defeated what? How?

If it magically disappears, you have defaulted on it! There is nothing in anything you posted here that changes that. So are you saying you did not say it? It is posted right there that you said it?

This whole Jafo world of if Jafo said it and it is wrong or sounds stupid then you are a liar for pointing it out is just very bizarre behavior!
