Lots to wade through here, but in this Gallup Poll report, it seems Lieberman leads with those under 50, those not following the campaign too closely, and the more moderate Dems; while Kerry leads with those 50 and over, those following the campaign more closely, and the more liberal Dems. And of course, it's way too close for comfort re. Bush<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/alien.gif" width=28 height=20>, but in their words, he's "not invincible", and his numbers aren't as good as Daddy's were.

I saw the debate. It's over. None of those 9 people beat Bush. I understand what Pat meant about Kerry now, the snore factor. You're right Pat, he's not electable. Same problem for several others. I like Dean and Kucinich, but they're about as electable as Nader. Lieberman sucks, Gephardt's another snore.

The only guy I think has a possibility is Edwards, the pretty boy. If he can really get it rolling next year we might have a prayer. But the race is Bush's to lose. If he fucks it up, Dems might have a shot. If he even just coasts, I think he's a shoe in. Americans just don't like to think, and for that they have their man.

Yeah, I wish we could have Kerry's credentials and Edwards' personality in one candidate, with the best of each of their politics. Edwards worries me a bit with the pro-war thing. I would not have a problem disagreeing on one thing because overall I think he's in favor of a lot of good things and against most bad ones to put it very simply. But I'm a bit concerned on what supporting this war means to him, in terms of world domination, relations with the rest of world, and all the other things that are in the mix now. I guess it'll all come out in the wash. I'm not totally in despair, but not wildly optomistic either. The thought of Bush being legitimately elected chills me to the bone, though. What might he be capable of under those circumstances? It's already so much worse than I thought it would be and I thought it would be very bad.

I certainly like Kucinich's positions and could support him. Well, I'd support Arnold the Pig from Green Acres at this point if he was running against the shrub, so I guess I mean that a lot of Kucinich politics agree with my own views. Arnold's probably dead by now, anyway. He was a very bright pig. And is it my imagination or is Dean really starting to make some noise in a good way? There's a long way to go. Anything could still happen and probably will.

Well, since Bush has announced his bid for re-election,and there will undoubtably be re-election volunteers to help him in his quest, I have decided to volunteer for Bush's De-election campaign.
"De-elect Bush NOW!" will be one of our slogans.
Along with bumper stickers like:

Well, they can try, and they might well succeed and that'll be very, very bad for this country and for what democracy we have left. What'll happen longterm, of course, is if they succeed, they'll go too far and eventually cause a big swing in another direction, but a lot of damage will be done before that happens.

I sorta think Hillary Clinton would rock the white house. But then again I'd vote for Martha Stewart if she ran.

I voted. It was hard because I really hadn't made up my mind, but what the hell. I have heard a lot about the possibility that a lot of extreme right types are going to be trying to sabotage it, by registering and voting in large numbers for Sharpton. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
