IMO... Hitler wanted a beautiful, Utopian world... at any cost. That's one case of tunnelvision. The video, same as I said before, while basing my take on Herac's initial take, this is like a self-fulfilled Darwin's Award. He mentioned persecution of the people in the video as children of Hitler's key people and the rest one can imagine. Herac, mentioned psychology. I applied what I do know on the subject if it made sense. We bantered about our mutual considerations for one anothers intelligence and education. Then I watched the video, confirmed, essentially, what I expected and even voiced earlier through their comparison. Now we've all been bringing up our thoughts about how Hitler's crusade relates to God and religious thinking through the ages.

It's an interesting topic. We have 6 pages. We all pretty much agree the children of people led astray shouldn't have to face persecuion for the sins of their fathers. From here on the thread has quite a proliferous nature, or spawning new sets of questions. From here on it would naturally have sub-discussion.

I am not the one that derivatized and minimalized the female by suggesting she was an afterthought of god because the Penis Person needed a companion to fetch fire wood, make noodle salad, clean the bathroom and bend over occasionally (I admit, I added the last bit for effect). I know I am an odd man out but I believe women and men evolved together and should share the world including firewood, noodle salad, cleaning the habitat and sharing some special moments (I like special moments)....its an equal situation...and further, if two men or two women feel comfy in this situation instead of a man and a woman...OK, I really could give a rat's ass....

Hitler did not want a Utopian World. He wanted a Germany that stretched from the Baltic to the Black Sea and all points east to the mountains with the Ukraine to grow wheat , pigs and cattle and the rest to supply oil and minerals. He wanted Lebensraum for Germans His vision did not include Jews or Slavs! I mentioned psychology because I believe anyone is capable of what the Germans did in that time and place. They (the Germans) are not unique and they are not special and they are not evil. You don't have to look far in America to find American's that did similar things. You don't have to look far in Russia to find Russians who did similar things. You don't have to look far anywhere where there are humans to find humans who did similar things. God is always indifferent to the fate of the "chosen people" who were dying or dead as a result. So basically, I thought the whole Darwin Award thing was stupid!

The Darwin Awards book is amazing. If you can't have fun there, some Kurt Vonnegut's work is fun. For the serious side, Karl Menninger. Unfortunately, some of the reasons for the Darwin Awards is stupidity. One can imagine the masons versus the Quakers in 1650. Something would be stupid in all that.

I understand why these people made this documentary and I understand why they feel the way they do! The point is they are not unique nor is their situation unique. It just happened, in their case, on a grand scale. When the man says he want's to do everything he can to stop it from happening again... there is a reason for it.
