Former Rep. Joe Kennedy II is stirring up a bit of controversy with TV ads offering a 40% discount on home heating oil for the needy. Why the controversy? It's Citgo.... Venezuela's oil company. Yep! The conservative right wingers are up in arms because it's help from President Chavez (you know... the guy who had the cajones to call "Dubya" the devil! Right on, Hugo!) Kennedy was interviewed on our local news tonight. He said he's getting all kinds of criticism for his promoting Citizen Energy Corporation for taking Chavez oil, but said that he'd gone to everyone, the Saudis, OPEC, etc., etc. and Venezuela's Citgo was the only one to offer help. Good for Joe! Good for Chavez! Screw Bush! This is great for the folks who can't afford to heat their homes! That's what it boils down to. That and who's extending the helping hand!

I'm glad they are helping out. I hope some other oil companies will take note and help out too. I don't like Chavez tho cuz he put down America qat some UN thingy or something here in the US. I saw a clip of it on tv & that bugged me him putting us down like that...

Cheryl, he called Bush the Devil. From where I stand, that's an insult to the Devil. At least he, as Lucifer (which translates to something like "bringer of light") was at one point an angel. Dubya has never even come close to that!

Dubya's daddy had his thousand points of light thing of course, and as Arlo has said, "you can't have a light without a dark to stick it in", so it would seem that dubya is one of the thousand points of dark, so that there can perhaps be a thousand points of light to stick on him, or in him, or something....... perhaps one of those big police flashlights rammed up his ass might get the point across? Then we could see the light coming out his ears, nose, mouth and stuff, cuz there would be no brain to absorb it.

In conclusion, it would seem that the ying-yang that is george bush is also part of the yin and yang. Funny how shit works sometimes. :?

Good point Wyld, and one that escaped me for a moment. Please don't confuse george bush with the USA, they are NOT the same thing, regardless of what karl rove says.

In My Very Unhumble Opinion The American People and The People of The World will be payin' for the bush-cheney-rumsf_cker-rowe period long after smirk the chimp leaves office - long after he and the rest are buried in the cold cold ground

The Children of The Children born today will be payin' for these times and where they will lead us and future generations :(

I did Not like nixon any better after he left office - I did like where he was at better, But not till 1994 :!:
Of course since November of 2000 I have come to realize that there are much worst and truely evil men that can wiggle their way to the oval office.

There may be a place where even richard nixon has a soul

But does the devil have a soul :?:

I don't know if I'll like him any more or any less, but I'll be less afraid.

I gotta give george credit for ONE thing of late. he has finally asked some smart people to help him figure out how to get us out of the mess he got us in in Iraq. Namely the "Iraq Study Group". Some smart guys and some of daddy's old buddies. Now, if he only listens to the smart guys! Of course we gotta hope and pray that the smart guys are smart.

Is the issue of the war in the hands of the people?

Is there not a government to preserve, protect and defend the country?
