Hey blunderites,
In my search for people doing something. Its here in blunderland, and a few other places, I've connected with, Ariana Hughingtons Blog, and places like that.
But it sure seems to me like the U.U. is the Church in America that will lead this beautiful planet into the future. They had a 4 point plan at a Church that met in a Theater built around the 70's in Sonoma County.
1. Social Justic efor the poor.
2. A living wage.
3. Healthcare for all.
4. Affordable Housing.
Wec ould right now take care of all 4 jsut by cutting the rent in half, for at least those who do it on under 40,000.
Good Day,
Leoburg-A uuu because I'm a Union Wirenut

Hey blunderites,
Isanity is waiting on this gov. to end the coruption of Capitalism...
Why don't we do what we can to get the Ancient of Days to take his seat in a World Court?
THEN, the rest will take care of timelessness.

If isms were corrupt, they would all be corrupt. It's people who get corrupted as far as I can see, not the ideologies. A lot of good ideas look pretty bad after people have had an opportunity to get at them. When people start saying "If only everyone would do it my way..." I start headin' the other way.

Amen to that, Mr. G. I won't say what ideology this fellow at my workplace follows (it doesn't really matter), but he said he had a simple solution for everybody in the world to get along. "All everybody has to do is agree with each other!"

Well, to me, that was like him saying, "My way or the highway." So, I said, "Oh, I don't agree with that!" I guess I blew the possibility for world peace. Always causin' trouble!

Just the other day, my boss, President Celeste at Colorado College, did a talk for the ACLU, titled: "The U.S. View of Human Rights: My Way or the Highway" - Wow... we are sooo on the same page!

He used examples from his previous work... as Director of the Peace Corps, as Ambassador to India and as Governor of Ohio... all pointing to the fact that we are just one culture (and a mixed culture at that) on this planet, and each culture or religion or ethnic group has its own particular way of dealing with issues. It is not for US to say "Our Way or the Highway!"

.. stepping down off soapbox now.

although i will say of the UU's I know are honestly trying to average the essence of the isms into a unified ism that incorporates the non-humanized elements of all the isms into an organized voice or theology against the more directed humanized forms of the isms. If that makes any sense at all? Of course this is intolerable to all the mainline isms!

Yup, "isms" lead to "schisms",which itself is an "ism".....so how can you win? Is faith an answer or a question......or both?

I don't know what faith has to do with it?

In defense of the essence of the isms they were constructive. Take America's current evil ism Islam (sorry, facts are facts). When the Prophet came along he attached a social cohesiveness to tribal structure that worshiped vendetta's more than their Gods and he attached a cult of submission to a revalatory God with a tradition that eventually unified the Arabs and ultimately resulted in the conquest of all the world except stinky barbaric tribal Christian Europe. He had all these people suddenly abandoning the individual for the whole and it caused growth and development in his community. Sure, 100 years later a schism resulted in the killing of the Prophets very grandson in an act of schism war related atrocity and 100 years after that the Caliph's appeared who were being praised in a fashion similar to God on Earth (schisms are schisms, isms are isms)

Or even the Christian, wandering preachers in the desert began attaching Buddhist teachings to a Jewish tradition that had already had fragments that had absorbed Zoroastrianism and created a unified cult that, once hellenized (through the martyrdom of one of the more charismatic preachers of the bunch, hey zeus), became the secretariat of the last gasp of the Roman Empire before falling into its initial series of schisms and ism evolution. There is no doubt all this contributed to the proverbial "progress of man" for what we are, a rather clutsy bunch of beings with a deep seated history of self interest!

Sorrry, there I go again..
Never mind

It was merely a question off on a tangent. I like tangents. :)

It ain't the isms I'm against. I just wish we, all the people of the world, could all sit down for a Month long Thanks Giving Dinner while the gov. finished their job.
Hey, and I think the Ancient of Days in Daniel 7 is a human today, just like the son of man is is too in that chaptor.
The worker ownersip of the mondragon cooperative isn't an ism so maybe adg might like that better than capitalism. I hope so because it is the onlything I can see that Unions (No ISMS) could make work next week if they, the Unions were given the power.
What will it take to have that big party of Isaiah 25?
Leoburg
