Well, what the heck. Gotta start somewhere.

I don't see anything wrong with a woman as president but she scares me. It bothers me that she, along with most of the other candidates, voted to invade Iraq. I'm also worried that she may vote or give her support for her own political gains over what might be the right thing to do. Latest case in point, she was one of the 75 senators who voted to allow Bush the authority to define the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. A lot of anti-war groups have seen this as a prelude to the possibility of Bush launching a war with Iran. Some of Clinton's supporters have suggested that, as the Democratic front runner, she did so in order to garner support from a broader group (other than just liberals) come the actual presidential elections. If that's the case, then I would find her actions reprehensible and, in this instance, very frightening.

Not nearly as scary as Bush, but scary.

Might be fun to see her and Rudy debate if they both get the nods from their parties. Rudy has done Saturday Night Live before. I can hear iRudy now " Hillary, you ignorant slut....."

I agree, kj...the vibes I get from her convinces me that it's all about the power. I don't get any warm fuzzies from her at all...I just feel the hunger for power.

Ten years ago, I couldn't wait for the day when I could vote for Hillary Clinton for President. Not now. Besides all the things mentioned above, in 2006 she was the No. 2 Senate recipient of donations from the healthcare industry, trailing only Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, per Raymond Hernandez and Robert Pear, "Once an Enemy, Health Industry Warms to Clinton," New York Times, July 12, 2006.

What is even more scary to me is that I not hearing alternatives from this group of people...

I have been a yellow dog since 76. May wind up writing Arlo in this time.

well it's slim plickins i think Goofus.... but some damn scary Republicans...
be very afraid of Mitt Romney...recently but not now our governor.....he couldn't get re-elected in this state to sell hot dogs at Fenway (after 1 term)... he tore programs apart, piled on paperwork for paperwork to keep costs down...and personally i would say his truth is entirely based on convenience.... and his positions change quickly....
....and Rudy... well enough said?...if you don't know check out http://bravenewfilms.org they are revealing through video what New York City had to live with in reality....

as for dems.... democracy for america is holding a straw poll today...
check it at
http://democracyforamerica.org
and Chris Dodd is currently leading....he may be okay....
my next choice would be Kucinich...course it would take me years to learn how to spell his name...

and yes Arlo could be a great President... but we need him to keep the music going....;)....

Is there anyone out here who will run for god? Even if someone helped the Unions as the smaller gov, some years latter those gains would be gone. etc etc.
I want someone to run for god. So this World's gov. could be done. Its a bit more complicated than 10 laws. Maybe even god couldn't make it done.

Don't know about Dick Cheney for Satan in '08... but the blackened greasy chunks I cleaned out of the barbecue grill yesterday sure looked like pieces of his soul...

But don't forget, Hils has to be extra tough and maybe scary,,,she'a a woman in this still not quite "liberated" world.

There are things I don't like that she has done in the past and now, same goes for all the others. Well I have a year to make up my mind.

Just now I'm getting ready for the Federal Election here on 24th Nov.........
If little Johnnie gets back in (he's been way behind the Labor Party in the polls, but is now using carrots on sticks and scare mongering to try and hoodwink the swinging voters) I will be so disappointed I may have to move to New Zealand.

I LOVE Helen Clarke, the NZ Prime Minister. In '03 she said something like "I will not send our children to fight an illegal war" What a woman.

To me, tough doesn't mean pandering to the middle and right to get votes, especially on an issue as dicey as Iran and giving Bush more of a chance to start World War III. And a week or so ago is a little too soon in the past for me to overlook. Nope! I reckon that she's doing the marketing thing. Not my idea of a person with integrity. Though I haven't figured out just where yet, my vote is leaning toward elsewhere than Hillary.
